Excellent hotel in a great location. I was initially assigned a room that was not very comfortable (due to the angled windows that created a lot of heat) but was rapidly moved to a lovely room with a balcony. The hotel pool was especially welcome since the weather was warmer than usual. The buffet breakfast with sparkling wine and an excellent selection of items, was fantastic. Overall it was a great experience that I’d highly recommend.

Great location, lovely rooms. Amazing breakfast, really worth to include it on your stay. Attention to details beautiful rooms and great staff, right by the canal and close to everything. Ideal to visit but not good for work online. The room had no outlets near the bed or by the sitting area, only one outlet by the coffee machine inconvenient to work or charge your phone at night, and the wifi is not very string and is unstable. Pick a room with canal’s views.

We were pleasantly surprised by the size of our room. I believe it was the "exceptional w/a view". We had so much space in our room, an oversized tub, and a large balcony. All things that are not common in Europe from my experience. The staff was also friendly and accommodating.

This hotel was wonderful & our room amazing. It was huge with the most comfortable bed ever & an amazing view & shower. It was the best of the 3 hotels we stayed at on our 9 night Belgium/ Netherlands trip. Location was excellent, walkable to everything we wanted to see yet a bit more quiet. Everyone we interacted with at the front desk was friendly & helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Step back in time at the Harmony. Like, waaaay back. The hotel faces the canal and a lot of history. Actually, it sits beside and in front of a lot of history, too. Check in was easy, the stairs aren’t quite Amsterdam walk-up steep, but you might give consideration to taking the available elevator nonetheless. Our room was above the dining area and faced the canal. The view from the deck was simply awesome. The weather was oddly—for Ghent I am told—perfect. People milled in the streets and cafes drinking, eating, laughing, and, yes, singing. I was a festive atmosphere. Our room had comfortable linens and mattress, more than adequate HVAC, plenty of hot water and other amenities. And then there was the view to behold! The hotel is nearby many restaurants and pubs and across the street from one of the oldest pubs with plenty of Belgian biers to sample. The Harmony fairly exudes olde world atmosphere but has plenty of modern accommodations (the upstairs pool, for instance).

We were contemplating between this and the Marriott. So glad we chose Hotel Harmony. Pros: - Location is absolutely central yet quiet. Lots of food selections, right by the castle, walkable to most things in Ghent. - The hotel is newly refurbished and things were new. It's a little awkward as the building is an old building, but the rooms themselves were good. - Staff were friendly and welcoming. Cons: - Very minor: It's evident it was newly refurbished and not many people has stayed in - there are some minor niggles that haven't been ironed out, like lack of a handtowel rail, toilet roll holder, water splashes from the shower. However, these are minor niggles rather than anything too important!
