The space
DOWNSTAIRS: Two living spaces with lots of seating options and a fireplace in each. A large Smart TV for the main living room. Board games are available in the entry-way cabinet. There is a half-bathroom downstairs as well. Cook yourself a feast in the spacious kitchen with pots, pans, rice cooker, and 4-person breakfast table. Then have a lovely dining experience with elegant 8-person table in the dining room.
UPSTAIRS: Each of the three large bedrooms have comfortable beds, ceiling fans, closet space, sound machines, and a desk. The “Family Room” has two king beds, a Smart TV, and a private, full bathroom with a shower. The other two bedrooms share a bathroom in the hall with a bath and shower combo. The “Zebra Room” has a queen bed and a bunk bed. The “Blue Room” has the third king bed and Smart TV.
STAIRS: Navigating the stairs has not been a problem for children, they even use it as a play space, but older patrons will need to pay close attention to the antique-angled shape of the stair steps. (see stairs picture in photos) We have motion lights installed on the stairs for late night snack runs and early risers.
BACKYARD: Covered parking is available in the carport that has a garage door. The back patio is ideal for cool summer nights with a pool table, foosball, propane grill, fire pit and outdoor dining and seating.
NEIGHBORHOOD: The house is in a tucked away gem of one of the oldest neighborhoods in Abilene. A quiet street, with a spacious median, large trees, and close to a lot of local eateries that many visitors miss! Abilene is not a big city, so like every rental in town, the house is at most 10-15 min from any place you’d need to go: ACU, HSU, McMurray, HEB, Walmart, Downtown, SODA district, antique shops, zoo, football stadiums, and rodeo grounds.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
UNAVAILABLE: NO PARTIES. No Washer/Dryer (There is a very nice laundromat nearby if needed). Some locked doors and closets in the house contain owner’s personal items, they are marked accordingly. There is a white back-house where the property owners live and additional garage attached to the covered carport that is unavailable to all guests. Owners will PARK ON THE STREET while guests are in the house.
SECURITY: 24/7 Arlo doorbell video at the front and back doors for your safety and the security of the home. Owners also live on the property in the backhouse.
FIRST-TIME GUEST DEPOSIT: Through VRBO Resolution Center we ask for a $500 deposit for first-time guests five days prior to check-in. Upon keeping all house rules and finding our home in good condition (no damages, no parties, or excessive cleaning) we initiate a return of the deposit (Via VRBO Resolution Center) within 48 hours. We are faithful to return security deposits as soon as possible.
PETS: Dogs are allowed dependent on the approval of the owners on a case-by-case basis. The type of dog, age, and breed are the main factors. Dogs also require a non-refundable pet deposit of $75 after discussion with the owners. This will be taken out of the security deposit.

Tax breakdown is as follows:
State Hotel Occupancy Tax = 6%
