The staff were generally very courteous and respectful, however two events could have been handled better by the young duty managers. One involved confusion over whether a room had been prepaid, it had, but they had switched on arrival with a second room booked that had not, resulting in an overall aggressive accusation, the second over non functioning air conditioning, which never worked, was reported and supposedly fixed, but clearly wasn’t. In the first case an error on their part should have been opportunity for a graceful remedy (we asked for nothing), however the team given multiple opportunities to let us know there appeared a to be a problem, waited for our 82yr old guest to enter a vehicle to leave, before in a rather clumsy way accusing him and the driver of attempting to leave without paying, 3 hrs after he had checked out with the front desk. They knew I was staying another night and the booking was in my name, so could have raised the query with me, but did not, waiting instead for him to leave then allowing for a scene. With the second issue, (and this time, I did ask for a rebate on our next booking), we were told it would be requested, but we never heard back.
Dinner was supper and greatly appreciated, breakfast simple, omelettes good.
