Nice hotel, unfortunately indifferent staff. Main problem for us was the dining room. There are 'no smoking / fines apply' posters everywhere, but many diners chose to ignore the rule and the hotel strangely provided ashtrays on EVERY table. As non smokers the smell was unbearable. We ate next door at the Liman Culture restaurant.
We have visited many Hilton hotels, worldwide, this was definitely not up to their usual standards, particularly staff wise. Also small things like mini bar in room but not one glass, not even a 'toothbrush glass'. Leaky shower, no footmat. Tea & coffee 'selection' disappointing.
The whole experience of the (lack of) standards left us disappointed to be honest.
We reserved a non smoking room on a higher floor. Checking in (very slow) we were asked if we wanted a smoking room!?! Our allocated room was on the 3rd floor (of 12). The rooms have lovely floor to ceiling windows, unfortunately the hotel is surrounded by pigeons..... the effect is quite disgusting.
A thing to note, there are no taxis near the hotel (!) an average wait was 15 minutes (in March). I dread to imagine the high season. The main coach station is around a 20 minute drive.
On a positive, very easy access to a lovely walk along the canal!!
