We decided on an overnight escape down the beach, last minute. The hotel was lovely even providing a yoga mat to use for a great start to the day. Although the weather wasn't suitable for swimming, the pool and spa look great!

WOW!! This place is super cute! We loved the modern-retro theme ( I'm not a designer so I really don't know what else to call it). Everything was clean and updated and new. The room was so welcoming from the beautiful furnishings,expresso machine, blue tooth speaker to the super cozy seating area with floor rug. Easy access to incredible Surfside walk. Head East and go to the end where it meets the beach.(2miles, not the first beach access) and then continue to where the beach is split by the gorge. It's just beautiful! We highly recommend this as a best place a to stay on The Great Ocean Road!

Lovely stay at Sunnymead, everything was perfect! Room was clean with everything you could possibly need including plates and cutlery. Pool was a lovely treat after a day on the GOR. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, would recommend to anyone.

Overpriced but Funky Revamped Motel
Clever hipster revamp of old style motel. Money spent well on nice bathroom and quality beds and furnishings. Breakfast not worth the $38 price tag - loaf of bread, 2 small pats of butter, small jar jam and 2 small juices. For the price tag of over $400 for one night it was overvaluing its offering by at least $150 compared to all other accommodation we stayed in over a 10 day road trip. It was nice but it wasn’t a $400 night property by any means. Can recommend as comfortable and cute but cant recommend the value.

Loved the style of this hotel. Everything felt fresh and new. Extra touches like bath robes, toaster, plates, cutlery and even dishwashing liquid were fantastic. Great value for money. Easy walking distance to food and the lighthouse.
