Grace under pressure!
The hotel staff was amazing in spite of two huge storms that passed through. They worked so hard to keep everything running while the island flooded and dealt with electrical outages.

The hotel is old and has a very weird smell in the room and the hallway. Bed is very stiff. Aircondition sometimes working. I put 1 star on staff because of the room cleaning lady, on room 101. Today was our last day, check out was at 11:00 and i was in our room at 11:05 naked and i was putting my clothes on to leave, while the cleaning lady opened the door without knocking first and started shouting on me bcs i was 5 minutes late! She was screaming that i am late and i have to get out and that she will be back in 10 minutes, as i was telling her to go out to get dressed since i got no clothes on but she didn’t. The rest of the staff was very nice except her, especially the blonde girl Andriana at the reception was the sweetest.

Third year in a row but the cleanliness of housekeeping isn’t the best. Areas in the bathroom/shower not cleaned. Old sock and dust underneath the bed upon check in and left there/not cleaned until we checked out. There was three of us, two adults, and a child and they kept leaving us one bath towel short. Other than the above we always enjoy everything else as part of our stay.

Hotel Condesa is a very kid friendly hotel so if you have older kids be prepared for a lot of young children. Overall my experience (with a 16 year old) wasn’t great. Everyone from the front desk staff to the restaurant staff were neither pleasant nor helpful. I was quite disappointed. So much so that my son and I spent most of our time away from the hotel. The pool and beach areas were very crowded every day of our 10-day stay. Understandably we were there during a peak time. That said, hotel guests would place beach towels on chairs at the pool and the beach to prevent others from using them. This happened every day. We found chairs unoccupied for hours with towels on them as if they were being used. There was entertainment every night that started around 9 or 9:30 pm which was the best part of our stay. But it was loud and usually lasted until close to 11 pm followed by guests and their kids running up and down the halls of the hotel loudly talking and slamming doors. There was a bracelet system by which the hotel tracked which guests were all inclusive (all meals and drinks paid for) versus those that only paid for certain meals like breakfast. Based on my observations, restaurant staff treated guests differently based on the color of their bracelet. There were also chairs around the pool reserved for certain preferred guests. All of this is fine but it definitely isn’t explicitly advertised by the hotel when you’re booking.

Unfortunately I have to say this has been the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. I travel all around the world so I can tell you I will never recommend this hotel to anyone. We got here 2 days ago and our experience has been terrible. The room is very small and very old. The only part that is not too old is the bathroom. When we checked in I told the receptionist to please give us a room in a high floor and she said no we only have available in first floor so I said ok but I wish I didn’t because our room was just above the dumpsters and we heard the staff throwing bottles since 6am so we could sleep at all, because besides the thin walls were you could even heard the people having sex or coughing all night from the other rooms, the staff started cleaning the rooms around 7:30am and moving furniture and rolling carts in the rooms so loudly. The curtains were broken and for the entire day the hotel has issues with their electricity so we didn’t have ac at all. The staff at the reception and the managers are extremely unfriendly and rude. At check in they never told us that it was almost impossible to get a chair at the beach or at the pool because Not a single chair at the pool available in two days before 6pm. All lounge chairs at the beach must be rented (purchased in advance 4 day minimum). When asked if I could rent chairs for the day, I was told there were none near the hotel. Old hotel built in 1974. There was a strange smell to the room - a musty sewage odor. Walls were paper thin so the sound travelled which was made worse by the sound of furniture being dragged across the floor. However, staff was nice and the location was good. Parking is NOT included as there is no parking provided by the hotel besides about 6 spots.

Amazing hotel with great access to beach. Beach was extra cost but really safe and right outside the hotel. We left out stuff and went back in for lunch, came out and all the things were still there untouched. Sea was amazing and clear, depth is perfect for small children for a good portion of the seabed. Food was average though, expected better for this price but it was still ok.

Great location, just steps from the beach. Our hotel rooms were clean, spacious, comfortable, and had nice views of the ocean. The resort is very family friendly and each staff member we encountered were courteous and helpful. We had the breakfast buffet each day, which had a lot of variety of food items. We had the dinner buffet a couple of times, and again, it offered a lot of variety for the price we paid. The only downside was that our side of the hotel experienced several power outages throughout our stay. The staff said this was a problem across town and not isolated to the hotel. It was a mild inconvenience for sure, and fortunately was resolved rather quickly each time.

Pros: - Good beachfront location, close to the bus station. - Friendly staff. - Good breakfast. Cons: - Cancelled our reservation and tried to relocate us two days before our trip. - Beach sun beds and umbrellas in front of the hotel are paid and usually reserved for an entire week. - Lots of loud kids. - Thin walls; you can hear everything. - Fee to use the in-room safe. - Towels reserving chairs by the pool, and staff does nothing about it.

Condesa lies magnificently, you can almost reach the beautiful light blue sea with your toe from the hotel. we arrived late in the evening, the receptionist welcomed us very well. the staff at Condesa are extremely service-minded . on the roof you will find their skybar, a wonderful place with a great view, comfortable lounge furniture and good music, a quiet place , which was otherwise difficult to find. loud German pop music, poor acoustics in the dining area , absolutely impossible to find a quiet place around the pool, the sunbeds were so close that you could almost touch the other guests, if you could get a sunbed at all. I recommend the piece of grass behind the hotel, where we found both space and peace. the room was very small, but since we only had to sleep there it worked. if you like a hard mattress, you'll probably sleep well, we didn't sleep very much. . If you are a family with small children, you like it easy, close to the beach and town. if you like loud music and festive elements, a large buffet with lots of child-friendly food, Condesa is perfect. We were 2 adults with a teenager. we had breakfast in the small restaurant at Condesa , delicious buffet and sweet staff, enjoyed the morning coffee with a sea view. we definitely missed a place and pool in the day time not for small children. the noise was unbearable.

This is a terrible hotel, we are from the US and we travel about nine or 10 times a year internationally. First of all, we didn’t realize that you could choose the all inclusive option, We did not choose that option and every time I went to use my credit card the staff was irritated. On top of that you have to bring your credit card with you to dinner lunch to the pool bar, because they don’t charge the room. Honestly, I’ve never heard of that before. The pool area is disgusting. There are ashtrays everywhere and people are constantly smoking. Good luck getting a chair at the beach we were told not only do you have to rent it, but you have to rent for a four day period, we were only there for three days, therefore, we just sat on the towels Directly in the sand amongst cigarette butts. The room was pretty bare bones. Not even a coffee maker to make coffee, no bedspread on the bed, no bottles of water, pretty much nothing. Also, the bed and pillows were very hard and we could hear everything that was going on in the hallway and outside. We had such a wonderful time in Barcelona and this was supposed to be a relaxing three days before we headed back to the US. It was not. The front desk staff was pretty friendly, the food staff was not.
