This place is a gem. Feels remote but still has the convenience of a market, right across the street, liquor store and couple restaurants within a half mile. Loved the cabin and had the comfort and amenities that me, my wife and daughters use everyday!!
Great place to stay outside of town, yet close enough to enjoy RMNP and Estes Park with a 20 mins drive. Cabin was super clean and beds were comfortable. I'd suggest buying wood & matches for fireplace and stop at the store in town for groceries or maybe costco before you head up to Estes Park. The cabin has items to use for cooking, theres a fridge/micro/oven and outside bbq.Owner was very responsive when I had questions. Id recommend this place to other visitor's:)
Was staying at the Mount Meeker (#2) for a nearby wedding. We really enjoyed the cottage and the area surrounding.
Our only suggestions would be to 1) provide a fold-up table to play games and eat and 2) provide a folding luggage rack to place a suitcase on.
Other than the hat it was really enjoyable and is now on our permanent list of places to book.
We had a recent stay at one of the cabins (Kozy cabin) for 2 nights. The place is horrible, old, dirty, small, you can literally reach the ceiling since it’s so low. No cell phone signal since it’s in the middle of nowhere. Cockroach in the kitchen sink, bed sheets have cockroach feces. More importantly, they don’t have hot water in the shower, and water pressure is extremely low in the bathroom and kitchen. When we found out we had no hot water, they basically told us they can’t do anything about it. Next day around 11am, they (a guy named Tyler) came and offered us free stay given the water issue, however, refused to honor his word after we left. Don’t get fooled by the pictures they have, the whole place and management is a mess.
Great location if you are interested in being remote and away from the touristy area. The amenities provided are great! The room and facility are clean and comfortable and the steam shower plus community hot tub helps after a long day of hiking.
We highly recommend staying at the Ferncliff Lodge! We stayed in one of the studio suites, which was a lovely, freshly renovated room. Everything was very inviting and comfortable! We also loved the quaint location, which is about 30 minutes from Estes Park! The staff was wonderful, giving very specific directions on how to get there as well as leaving detailed instructions for all of the amenities!
Overall, we loved our stay and would love to come back!
We enjoyed our stay. Good price. Great shower and room. Enjoyed the hot tub! Location has pros and cons. The isolation is very nice, but we did not plan on having no cell service at all. However, Wi-F was provided, so it wasn’t a major issue. The amenities surrounding the area are limited. We went to the “grill guy” restaurant and had a very poor experience. Those cons are the only reason it’s not 5 stars. As far as what the owners could do to make it better, not much. Maybe just a heads up about no cell service and some info about nearby amenities.
On a whole, this is a really nice place- inside is very modern and comfortable. Minor points are that there is no sign for the place and you have to follow directions that feel a bit creepy. The cabins overlook a dumpster which isn’t pleasant.
Suggestion to find a way to have more room in the bathroom to put things down. The sink is nice but impractical.
Once inside it’s very nice!
Cozy and somewhat inconvenient, given the 3 unit facility is 16 mi. from Estes Park in a tiny mtn community. Nicely put together inside with sufficient nearby parking with a nicely nu if slightly small shower & bathroom space, along with a tiny but well put together Kitchen w/sink, mugs plates, silverware, etc. The king size bed is roomy & very 'fluffy' but not so good 4 those with bad backs. Big Feather pillows look good but sink down to almost Flat, thus not supporting our heads well. Biggest issue 4 us (& this is the smallest of the 3 units) was a total lack of even a small Table & no chairs to sit on. A small sofa is Not sufficient as substitute! Price is very competitive but now feel a bit pricey for a place so small.
Everything about this stay was great. Management reached out and made it easy for us to find, and they even gave us some recommendations for hiking in the area. Everything was clean and looked brand new! It is a short beautiful drive from Boulder, but also was in a quiet remote place. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a place to stay in the area!
