Couldn’t sleep for the whole 3 nights. I mentioned it to a lady on reception after the first night and she was very abrupt with me and said that it was due to a game being on. She provided ear plugs. During the second night, there was screaming and music being played and a baby screaming next door during the night time hours. The ear plugs didn’t work! I went to speak to Mike (who is really kind but had to deal with other customer complaints and looked stressed) and he got the manager. They only offered breakfast but we had plans the next morning. We got some free drinks but it still wasn’t rectified. The hotel was sold out so no chance of moving rooms. During the third night, there was a sweet sixteen birthday and lots of music, entertainment and again screams. At this point, we had given up and couldn’t wait to leave. I will not be staying there again and it’s a shame that they couldn’t provide any sort of refund due to paying with Expedia. Despite this, Mike and Paul (also the stand in manager) both did their best. I just feel that this hotel should not have events on in the public atrium as it disturbs guests. The music was playing throughout the evening up until midnight. I had spent money on 3 nights and unfortunately we did not get any sleep!
