Hotel La Bussola, is a wonderful and unique property. The entire staff is extremely welcoming and do whatever they can to make you feel comfortable. The views from the room with balconies are simply awe inspiring, with direct vistas of the ocean and the small boats it was for us the best way to start our morning and to end our evenings. The most practical thing was that its location allows you to go out into town and walk back to your room without any hassle of having to climb hundreds of steps. Francesca on staff was just amazing, she is genuinely kind and very helpful to us during the time we spent at the hotel. The cleaning staff were truly very talented, taking cleanliness to another level and with a smile. We would definitely return to Hotel La Bussola! We spent 6 days there as our base and in total stayed 11 days in the region.

Very good hotel and excellent location. Just a 5 minute walk to the ferry terminal. Only complaint is the WiFi. Our roaming data worked well than the WiFi in the hotel! Excellent and fresh breakfast!

Location is excellent. Marina view on the no through road so no road or traffic noise. Breakfast was great, omelettes were fab. First floor rooms in need of updating but cleaned and fresh towels daily. Location was excellent for getting into the town or the ferry or the bus. Recommend this hotel definitely

The hotel, service personnel except for 1 front desk person were great. However, I would like to speak to someone to settle an issue that I had with the facility personnel regarding a request of an upgrade. I had asked for an upgrade the day before of my check in. I was quoted $50 per day difference which I had agreed to but at check out I was billed $99 per day difference. I tried to explain that there calculation was based on their net amount (total amount less commission) so for me to pay $99 per day I was paying the original commission again. They disagreed with me and being the lobby were filled with people, I paid the amount and left. I’m hoping you would be able to help me settle this issue. You can contact me. Thank you!

Had an amazing 5 night stay at La Bussola! As a solo traveler, location to the town was key. This hotel has everything - perfect sea views, clean rooms, spacious balconies, a great roof deck bar, friendly staff, the list goes on and on. I cannot wait to stay here again on my next trip

Loved the position of this hotel, for someone with mobility issues it was perfect. The room itself, especially the bathroom, would benefit from being updated. The bed however, was so comfortable but the pillows were a bit hard. Sitting on the balcony was a wonderful way to people watch. The breakfast had lots of choice and very nice staff. We didn’t eat dinner there, but the menu looked nice. Our favourite place to hang out was the rooftop bar. The choice of cocktails was fantastic, the bar staff and waiters were so friendly and the music was great. If I ever find myself in Amalfi again I would definitely stay at La Bussola again

A great property right near the marina on the water but 3 minutes walk away from the busy central area and hubbub. Perfect location to access everything. Quiet at night for sleeping.

FRAUDE
La estadia era un precio elevado, pero decidi tomarla con vista al mar (amo!!) y por su ubicacion. Me dieron una habitacion diferente a la contratada, en un 1er piso sin vistas al mar, y sin balcon, y sin el espacio de sillon que aparece en las fotos. Tenia acceso a una terraza con unos paredones de 1,50m de altura, delimitada como una zona por una cerca, pero el de la habitacion de al lado podia pasar caminando frente a mi ventana y ver en el interior. La abitacion continua hacia el frente renia una libustrina, por lo que desde la habitacion nada de mar se podia ver. Ademas era mas pequeña de lo que figuraba en las fotos pues solo contaba con una cama y la circulacion en U perimetral. Cuando lo consulte con el hotel me respondieron que si era lo contratado ya que lo dice en la pagina (lo cual es mentiroso, porque ninguna foto hay de esta habitacion ni de estas NO vistas), y que si queria cambiarme debia pagar mas dinero, ya que las habitaciones de las fotos estaban todas ocupadas. Hotels.com no hizo nada tampoco para resolver esto solo me ofrecio puntos en sus istema para una proxima estadia. Luego entre a la pagina del hotel y para mi sorpresa me encontre que ademas habia abonado un 20% mas caro. FRAUDULENTO todo, el manejo, el cobro, la falta de solucion, el pedido de mas dinero. Decidi no hacerme mala sangre pero me parece importante dejarlo en las reseñas tanto por el hotel como por la app que ninguno fue capaz de dar una solucion satisfactoria.

This was a great location right in Amalfi that allowed us to walk to all of the attractions. Nice free breakfast even if we did skip it most mornings to have some of the amazing pastries that are all around town.

Was easy to get from the port to the hotel, only a few minutes walk. The view and private beach are amazing. Hotel has a very nice restaurant. The area includes many nice restaurants and is not far from the main square where there's lots of shops and dining options. Would definitely stay here again.
