Surprising Value
I decided to stay here based pin the high rating and price. We were on our way back from Colorado ad regularly stop for the night in Amarillo. Pros: Right off I 40 Clean Quiet Comfortable bed Right at Big Texan Restaurant Cons: No free breakfast Big Texan opens at 8 am for breakfast No other restaurants in walking distance No outlet at desk for computer WiFi not secure With the Cons it was still very good value and will make this my Place to stop from now on.

Very dated and in fair condition. Stairs to second floor are rusted and had gaps in places. Room was clean and furnishings average. Definitely a 2 star.

I really thought we would have had a better experience, but our experience at the Big Texan hotel was awful. We had been looking forward to our stay for weeks. The restaurant was AMAZING. After we hot to our room, we discovered the room was flooded from their leaky toilet and the carpet was wet. We asked for another room, but everything was booked. At 3AM workers were repairing plumbing in the next room. At morning, there's no one to talk to at check out. No discount & no apology....
