Lovely hotel, very helpful and pleasant staff. Room was immaculate and very comfortable. We had our dog with us, who was made very welcome indeed. Breakfast was lovely, with plenty of choice.

This our third stay at the Victorian House. It’s our favorite place to stay in Grasmere. Staff are always great and were even better this year making for a wonderful stay. We loved the afternoon homemade cake provided this year! Breakfasts are always delicious.

A great break
A fantastic long weekend here. I received a great welcome as I arrived early and wanted to leave my car to go for a walk. Perfect room, just as described. Breakfast was very tasty, lots of choice and promptly served. I had my two spaniels with me and they were welcomed everywhere - sausages on offer at breakfast and kept them quiet.

Very impressed
Met all expectations and more. Very friendly staff and atmosphere all round. The only small thing to mention is that in Room 6, which I think is above the kitchen, there is a rather noisy rumble sound which I think comes from a fan below?? It begins about 7.15 in the morning.
