We were on a guided tour and this was the hotel they chose for us. It is a great location near many restaurants and across from the university of Jordan. We were very comfortable and pleased.

People were very nice and friendly and helpful, but the bathroom was disappointing: broken soap holder; poorly cleaned shower, problems with the water in the sink.people were smoking in the rooms and the hall stank. Definitely not a 4 star hotel

Decent hotel for a short stay
The hotel is decent, the room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast spread was also good and the staff friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that smoking was permitted in common areas. I guess this is just a thing in Jordan which you have to live with. But as a person with asthma it wasn’t awesome. There were lots of fast food restaurants in the area but it’s not particularly close to central Amman.

A car to pick us up at the airport was booked with the hotel via email on 19/8/18. We have the confirmation email with us. No one was there and when we rang them they denied all knowledge. Nor did they apologise for the oversight. Thus we had to make our own way. Not a great start.

Great Hotel & Staff
After a small miscommunication with our first room the staff at Gerasa hotel corrected the issue and were awesome. Hotel: The hotel is very nice and very clean! It's a popular venue for weddings on Friday nights. We arrived on a Friday night and the wedding music downstairs was bumping! Other than that night the hotel was quiet. The location is approximately 10-15 mins from downtown Amman. So out of walking distance but not too far. My wife and I liked the location as it's across from a university and has some local shops just next door. For bottled water I wouldn't recommend the cake shop next door. Walk down a few hundred feet to a local tea shop and buy it there. The tea shop also has good tea! Definitely recommend the morning breakfast. Omelettes and pastries were delicious. The Greek salad from the room service menu is awesome! Fresh cut vegetables and fresh feta were perfect! Staff: Everyone we interacted with was amazing. They were very helpful and genuinely nice people. I would recommend this hotel based on the staff alone. Tip: The size of the regular room will be small for most Americans, especially those who haven't travelled often. Go ahead and upgrade to the larger room for a bit more space, you won't regret it. Also, the hotel pillows are very fluffy. If you like fluffy pillows you'll be in heaven, if you like flat pillows bring your own.

I've stayed for a total of 8 nights. The hotel was so perfect and i would like to thank mr. ihab from the reception for his amazing and so proffessional customer service. The only concerns i have is tge room's condition that you cant control the room temprature and all the time you feel some humidity in the room. For a couple of nights we felt that the towels are not clean. And also the pool is so small and is in a bad corner. But i will sure stay here again when i come back to amman as the location and staff are so perfect.
