All well except the shower came over the top of the screen so flooded the bathroom floor. They tried to fix it but didn't manage to. Hence needed fresh towels each day after mopping up the floor. The staff were extremely helpful hence my 'excellent' rating.

The staff were very nice and accommodating. I had mostly no issues besides the shower in the room. But, the room was very clean and felt cozy for a small space. I did enjoy my stay there.

The Alfred Hotel was clean, quiet, and comfortable. We had a corner room, so it was a little small but we only were there to sleep, so didn’t matter much. Bikes can be rented at the hotel and we cycled from morning to night to get to Amsterdam Centrum and the Foodhallen. The staff was helpful. The shower was the only thing strange in our room. It was a nice wand and rain shower, but the whole bathroom floor flooded when you showered. It did drain fairly quickly.

Really good option and good value. I stayed in the modern double twin room, and it was perfect for my needs. I would only say that the shower is a bit impractical as it gets the whole bathroom and toilet wet, and I wish they provided actual shampoo instead of just 2 in 1 (which I suspect may just be basically shower gel…). The pillows in those twin rooms could also be more comfortable, they are a little small. But the location is fantastic - extremely quick and easy from the airport, and walking distance from museums/central. Lots of good transport links within reach. Felt clean, safe, and modern, and the staff was extremely kind of accommodating. Sometimes a bit of noise from other floors earlier at night (seems popular with young people as well as with families) but nothing overly disruptive. Would also suggest some healthier or more varied snacks in the vending machine. Would stay again on my next trip to Amsterdam!

We loved that we could get here from Schipol pretty easily (with help from airport staff!), and then our family of 6 was able to stay in a room together. Very comfortable beds and clean sheets and room. Loved it and would stay again. You can walk to amazing museums of Amsterdam from the Alfred. Recommend!!
