This hotel really should have been advertised as glamping instead. VERY difficult drive / ride to the hotel on a winding dirt road along the edge of the mountain. VERY difficult walk through the property up and down steep cobblestone paths. No heat or AC. The parking is down the road at a local family’s personal house. Breakfast was good but pretty late at 9:00 and the same eggs, plantain, and avocado every day, so some days we skipped breakfast even though it was already paid for. It was absolutely beautiful and extremely worth it for such an affordable price, but one needs to know what they’re getting into. In terms of a hotel, there are some things to be improved, but in terms of glamping, it was great!

Don’t get me wrong the room and the view is very beautiful but everything else is just a total disaster. The drive to get to this hotel is one of the scariest single lane dirt roads I have ever driven on and I’m from a small island in Greece where the drives are pretty scary so that says a lot. We constantly had to fight with the parking lady about paying for the parking each day because we would come back at night and pay and one night we went to do the overnight hike and our car was parking in the city and she argued with us that we had to pay for that night as well until her husband came and settled it. The walk to the room is a disaster pure moss so slippery and dangerous I pulled my shoulder try to leave and walk up this long steep road with my bag everyday leaving the room and getting to the room was a disaster we fell multiple times and we had on full hiking gear and poles with us. The room was pretty but as soon as we entered there was a terrible smell and then my husband located the smell to under the kitchen cabinets where a garbage bag from the bathroom filled with poop toilet paper. We got rid of the bag but the smell still lingered for the whole trip. And finally the breakfast which we paid for we only got to enjoy one day because it started so late on the morning.
