This hotel is in itself an experience. The museums are amazing and the ambiance is excellent. It was hard to go out of this hotel and explore since the hotel is so nice and big with many amenities to explore. I’ll come back to it on a heart beat!

We stayed in one of the less expensive rooms, which perhaps would make my stay very different to someone in a better room. The hotel is extremely luxurious, but our room had hard beds and you had to go out to get water and coffee, while most hotels provide for it in the room. If you pay your room in advance, you must leave a $300 credit frozen on one of your credit cards or leave $200 in cash as some kind of insurance. The hotel as such is super nice, and super fancy, but perhaps not the best in hospitality.

The stay at the hotel was great, we don’t even have to go out because everything was right in there, from a museum, a restaurant, pool, shopping store, etc all in one place. It was a very nice experience

Hotel Museo Casa Santo Domingo is probably one of the most beautiful hotels in Antigua Guatemala. The property is kept in pristine conditions and service is up to par. The pricing on food and beverages is somewhat above what is already expected for this level of hotel, leaving an unfortunate sensation of being overpriced, this causes guests to seek better dining options outside the property, of which there are plenty in Antigua. Overall, a great hotel, worth coming back.

I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Casa Santo Domingo in Guatemala, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the hotel’s charm, history, and beauty were captivating. Thanks to Expedia, we were lucky enough to receive a fantastic room upgrade, which made our stay even more special. The upgraded suite was spacious, elegant, and filled with lovely colonial details, blending luxury with a unique historical ambiance. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the view from the room was stunning, with lush gardens and beautiful architecture surrounding us. The amenities at Casa Santo Domingo are top-notch, from the well-maintained pool to the fantastic on-site restaurant that served delicious local cuisine. The staff was attentive and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Exploring the hotel grounds felt like walking through a museum, with art, artifacts, and history at every corner. It’s the perfect balance of culture and comfort. Thanks to Expedia’s upgrade, we enjoyed all of this in style, and we can’t wait to return! Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience the best of Antigua, Guatemala, with an added touch of luxury.

The stay was ok. We booked a room for 2 adults and 2 children, however the room had only 2 towels, he had to wait very long for the other towels. The mini bar was not working. The AC made a very loud noise. We had to wait a very long time in line for check in and check out. The food was great and the hotel amenities were in perfect condition.
