Guests booking an Executive Level room type are permitted to invite up to 2 non-resident guests to the Executive Lounge during the week (excludes Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and public holidays) for a surcharge. The indoor pool, fitness facility, and sauna are closed every third Wednesday of the month. For February 2026, the closure will be on the fourth Wednesday instead (February 25).
Children under 13 years old are only permitted to use the indoor and outdoor pools with parental supervision. Children under 13 years old are permitted to use the indoor pool on weekends only. Guests under 140 cm tall are permitted to use the outdoor swimming pool only while wearing a life jacket.
Guests booked in "no outdoor pool access" room categories are charged fees to access the pool. Entry to the outdoor pool may be limited due to maximum occupancy policy. In case of overcrowding, guests may have to wait to use the pools. Guests cannot pre-book entry to the pool. Up to 2 sun beds per room are available for use in the outdoor pool area (first-come, first-served basis) and some sun beds are prioritized for guests who book exclusive packages. Children under the age of 36 months must wear swim diapers in the pool. Rubber rings must be less than 1 meter in diameter and are only allowed in the children's pool. Access to Urban Island may be restricted in extreme weather conditions.

Great staff. Clean room. I love the most of this hotel: there is no pungent scent( perfumy smell) in the lobby and other areas. I am glad that the Shilla is not doing what other five stars hotels are doing. I hope that they keep their own classic style and maintain. Looking forward to visit again.

Amazing Hotel/Excellent Service in Seoul

By far and away the best service I have ever received at a hotel, and I have traveled extensively. We had two different people greet us before even making it near the entrance, then a single person made sure we were guided and immediately attended to. We were graciously given a free upgrade and when the staff found out that we were here for a special event for the kids, they printed a letter to them and have a box of chocolates, which my kids can't stop talking about. The breakfast buffet was spectacular and absolutely worth the price. My husband still talks about how every other hotel on our trip was a letdown. 100% we would stay at The Shilla again the next time we are in Seoul.

A truly luxurious stay, it’s perfect for special occasions or if you’re just in the mood to treat yourself. While the hotel is situated uphill, the complimentary shuttle buses make it easy to get around, with convenient stops to duty free, public transport hubs, and even into the city (as long as you catch the right schedule). The service is exceptional from start to finish. From the moment you check in to the time you leave, every interaction feels polished and attentive. Staff go above and beyond to make every guest feel welcomed. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a high-end, memorable experience - for us it was our honeymoon!
