Location it's about five bus stop Price is very good Breakfast with a view Wakayama Castle Breakfast is a must ¥900 very good price and with a killing view The hotel offers bicycle for free , but the problem is only for one hour You cannot get to anywhere within an hour so we did not use the service at all My suggestion most of the people will come and use the free bicycle only once even though they stay for many days why not let the hotel guest to use the service with combine hours Bus fare is quite expensive in Japan for the short distance right taking a taxi is lot better

Very Good Breakfast! The only drawback of this Property is that you cannot open the window in your room. It is also a bit dated.

Clean and convenient as expected
It was standard, clean, comfortable, as expected from all hotel stays. But the location was about 10-15min bus ride away from the main JR Wakayama station.

Great Castle View
Booked and stayed for 1 night in a double room. Free upgrade to Lady's Package (bunch of cosmetics samples and some extra teas in the room) was given :) My room had SUPERB view of Wakayama Castle, which was breath taking. Room was a bit old, and I found some hairs on bathroom floor, and washlet on toilet didn't work, plus the air-con didn't chill the air and it was hot, and bathroom was like the smallest I have ever used, but otherwise it was a clean and comfortable room. Wifi worked well. Breakfast was good. The castle view from the restaurant was even better than my room's. There was free coffee at the reception, so I could grab one to go when setting off for a little hike, which was lovely. There was a leaflet about seafood eatery in the room so I tried it, it was OK, but nothing spectacular. It was overly busy for them so service was so slow. Nice ladies serving and was pleasant enough though.

It serves it's purpose
Just stayed here one night to see Wakayama Castle before catching a plane out of KIX the next afternoon. For that it served its purpose. The room/hotel is older, so don't have high expectations when you arrive. That said, if you can get it cheap, it will be a functional place for you to stay the evening. I would not recommend it for long term stays.

A good hotel just overlooking the Wakayama castle
We arrived at abot 10 am much earlier than the permiited check-in time but the reception staff was very kind to let us check in eatly as there was a room already cleaned up. From our room's balcony we can appreciate the beauty of Wakayama Castle and morning sunrise.When we told the counter staff that the next day we intend to go to Kiikatsuura but not sure about the best way, she not only gave us travel pamplets but also called up the tourist infomation office to arrange for a consultation session. We would certainly recommend this hotel to travellers who want to stay near the castle though from the Wakayama city station it takes about 10 minutes slow walk.
