Pitch black hallway to "save money", bugs in sink, chemical smell, old Christmas decorations in September, broken down vehicle on property, no staff at hotel had to call and wait 20 minutes.
Great room and overall great stay. There was very little service tho. Arrived for check in to the office being locked, had to call and wait for someone to arrive. Went for complimentary breakfast and office area was again locked, called the number again, it sounded like I woke the attendant up and was told to just lock the key in my room for check out.

Basic
Basic place, I had to wait for person to come from his house to check me in. Uncomfortable but clean bed. Over all, it's 2.5 star as expected. Not bad.
The person in the room next to ours was loud all night both nights.

Easy off the highway. Lots of parking for pickup truck and trailer.(great) Very hard water. Linen was clean but stained and no top sheet on bed.(not great). Beds were comfortable and it was quiet. Late arrival so key was in drop box. (Good). Definitely a no-frill but great for a overnight stop. It served our needs.
My check in never happened
Arrived to find motel in total darkness not even the sign on. Called the number on the door and manager didn’t seem to know who i was. I could hear him typing then he said he would be there in 5 minutes. Came by let me in and said he didn’t have a room for me. Called a motel up the road who did have a room available but very low quality and much higher prices
Bedbugs is a problem. We, especially children got bites and itchy for the rest of trip. The tap water is in yellow colour and with metal smell, we cannot afford to drink. The smell of the room is not clean.
This was definitely not a win. The room was not comfortable, you could hear the neighbour, and the beds were not comfortable. It’s not the worst place I have stayed but it’s for sure not a great stay.
Motel is close by Highway 11 but well outside the village.
Clean and safe.
Room has been recently updated.
Good value for money.
Unmanned check in , which is tricky until having done it once.
