My husband and I have lived in Japan for a couple years, but this was our first trip to Hokkaido, and Furano! We were looking for a more intimate experience than your standard resort full of other tourists, and that is exactly what we got, in addition to a very knowledgeable staff. We were assisted with making dinner reservations, given suggestions on activities in town or in towns next door. We went just before the peak ski season started, so we were able to experience some snow, but it wasn't crowded.
Gareth, the manager, was incredibly helpful with dinner reservations, and if your Japanese language skills are rusty like ours, having someone translate and help was amazing. Lucas was also very helpful with assistance and advice during our stay.
Our room was modern, warm, had great amenities like a towel warmer in the bathroom, large showers, and storage space for bulky jackets. The rooms are effiecient, but do not feel crowded. We rented a vehicle, but the cabs are available to easily hop to the central part of town to walk around if needed, and there are lifts and equipment rentals in the immediate area. 10/10 would stay here again. You cannot ask for a better stay for the price. Thank you!
