We had a junior suite - views were best part and bed was comfy. Entire property is dated, the carpet in our room was very worn (to just threads in some area, such that the design patten was no longer showing) and much of the carpet had a lot of stains. It was OK for 1 night, but the place needs a lot of upgrading.

First, let me say this is my first negative review, my standards match my cash outlay. Room we were given had not been cleaned, wet towels in bathroom, banana peals in garbage. They moved us to a clean room so that was positive. “Free breakfast “ consisted of an empty tray for eggs and an empty tray for sausage, and an empty caraf for coffee, not refilled during the 1/2 hour we waited. We were told coffee was brewing but we needed to get on the road and 1/2 hour seemed long enough to brew coffee. The rooms were dated, which doesn’t bother us, but sheets could be renewed. Lastly, the river view is of an algae filled harbor. Looking for a different option next time. In contrast, the same price got us a beautiful stay in crescent city with good hot breakfast.

The room was not cleaned properly due to the hotel being short staffed, the bedding was not changed prior to our check-in and had visoble pee on the sherts. The shower still had soap and hair of all "varieties" around the drain and tub floor. The staff was less than helpful and after the 3rd request and 20 minutes in the lobby, we were handed a change of bedding to make the bed ourselves. We're currently working to get a refund.

The pictures look way better than it really is. The place is quite old. The bed was totally worn out and sunk in as soon as I laid down (and I weigh less than 200 pounds). The sink didn't drain. I wouldn't stay there again.

This old motel has seen better days. We reserved a theme room, and it was fun to see the interesting decorations, but our room was too dark. They don't have the right bulbs in the ceiling fixtures, so the fixtures don't light the room well. Our bed was not comfortable. The mattress sloped toward the middle, making it hard for the two of us to stay on our sides. They are short-staffed and are only cleaning rooms once every 3 days. There was a musty smell in the sink area. The carpet in the dining area needs replacing. It has duct tape over seams and tears. Two days in a row there was no milk for breakfast cereal. "We ran out of milk," the staff said both days, even though I was among the first at breakfast the second day. Also, we thought we would be able to walk downtown from the motel, but it's 1.5 miles each way -- too far to walk. Overall, a disappointing experience.

All the rooms have balconies that look out at the marina. You can watch ships going by on the way to docking. The property is older but very clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Lots of free parking.

The pictures on the website were very different then what the property and rooms looked like. When we got into our room, it stunk pretty bad. There was a broken lamp. There were smear marks all over the walls from people hands. The people in the office werr very friendly though. It just wasnt what we expected from the pictures

The hotel is showing its age. Though the marina view is nice, the room needs some tlc. The hotel did appear to do some updates to the bathroom shower, but the trim tile was chipped and cracked in places. on the bottom of the walls, and on the sink We were on the 1st floor, and had pigeons roosting under our balcony, making alot of noise. Our balcony floor and railing had a lot of pigeon droppings. Though the hotel cannot control the pigeons, they can definitely control and clean up the balconies, and maybe discourage the pigeons from roosting. Continental breakfast - they tried, but hot cooked foods ( eggs, sausage) were of mediocre quality. Otherwise, they have oatmeal , cereal, eng. muffins, bagels, etc, and coffee and tea. They have waffles, but prepackaged that you put into a toaster.
