It was a good place to stay. Nice beds, loved the balcony overlooking the marina. Building was a little run down on the outside, but it wasn’t bad. I wasn’t worried about safety.

Everyone at the Inn was extremely helpful and friendly. Room was spacious, clean and we had a wonderful view of the marina and famous bridge. The hotel was able to give us good information about transportation to the event we were attending.

The building is scheduled for demolition in the next year or two. As such, they’re not doing any maintenance- including replacing the boiler, which meant because we woke up at 9am, we had only cold water (not even really tepid). The staff is still really nice (I’ve stayed there before, several years ago), but paying full price for a hotel without hot water feels inappropriate. The staff just shrugged it off when we talked to them about it. Breakfast is mediocre (not that we were expecting much) and the rooms are worn but clean.

Room was decent, though prices were very high for the quality (Valentines weekend, so everything in town was at least doubled). Staff was friendly. This was a very budget motel experience other than the view, which is pretty great. Of note: port authority is EXTREMELY rigorous about parking, even when you have a hotel parking pass. I parked just outside the designated hotel lot, unrealizing, and had a ticket on my windshield in the morning.

The staff was great and the room was pretty clean. If you don’t have dietary restrictions, the breakfast is pretty good too. I liked the proximity to the river front trail.

The motel was in extremely bad shape. It was not made clear that this is a motel on the Expedia listing. Apparently the property is owned by the Port of Astoria. It is ridiculous that they would allow the building to fall into such a state of disrepair. The room smelled so bad (probably due to the old carpet). This is the type of motel you would stay at if you had fallen on desperate measures and not one you stay at on a vacation. The staff was so nice and tried to accommodate by switching rooms but all three rooms were very gross. This was not due to the staff not trying their best to attempt to clean. This was due to the property not being maintained for years on end. Also, there was a symphony of pigeons under the deck that were extremely loud all night.

Even though it’s an older hotel, it’s one of our favorite places to stay in Astoria. Being right on the water is a huge plus, and we love the themed rooms—they’re really cool. Breakfast is pretty basic, but it works for a quick start to the day.

We weren't expecting the balcony over the water- that was so cool! And having a table and two comfy chairs was great. All the stuff was very friendly and we really enjoyed our breakfast, except for the juice. Things shouldn't be labeled as juice if they are a sugary beverage, such as the apple juice. Thing I can say about our entire stay there. Kudos.
