Overall, we enjoyed our stay, the staff was quick to respond to issues, convenient location to grocery shopping and restaurants, the shuttle to the airport was on time and the driver very friendly and helpful. The bathroom and shower were fine, the property provided supplies as needed. A few negatives, the shuttle does not run at all times during the day, as most flights from the US arrive in the morning, a taxi was 50 euros. Our flight was delayed 3 hours, arriving just outside operating hours but the shuttle was not offered, the property was aware of our change. The bed was extremely uncomfortable as it was very firm, the light on the AC kept the room lit, we even tried covering it. The kitchen area was only a two burner cooktop, could have used a skillet along with the sauce pan provided, they did have a spatula.

I have stayed at both this and the other 2 properties owned by this group and have found them excellent in the past, however on this occasion I was unable to get a shuttle transfer to the airport as it was outside the servicing hours, no issue there however I requested a taxi booked, the taxi took me to the airport and the taxi meter read 13.10 Euro, however the driver asked for 30 Euro when I questioned he said that's what the hotel told him to charge. I wont use any of these properties again on principle, it is this blatant overcharging that will drive tourism away from Greece

It has excellent shuttle service. If you need a quick stay in Athens just to sleep and wait for your flight it's very good. It not a tourist destination. Area is not terrible but more local focused. Grocery store very close is convenient for resupply.

GK Mediterranean feedback 2024
The GK Mediterranean facility was fantastic. Rooms were huge and fully equipped. We were not disappointed. Two complaints: 1- we were told the airport shuttle would wait for us even if our flight was late as they had our airline information. The shuttle did not wait. This meant we had a choice of waiting another hour or taking a cab. We took a cab and the address was very difficult to find. 2- The other complaint was that when we were trying to communicate with the hotel, they were sarcastic with us and said that "other customers found the shuttle no problem" which we found rude and unnecessary. We had searched and searched the location she described to no avail. It didn't help with her saying that to us.

It was great. Pick up instructions excellent & quick ride to a nice little local up and coming neighborhood. Lots of history walking around. Big grocery store & lots of eateries around town square. A very famous bakery there too. Keep your translated as not many speak English. Cozy quiet efficient , like a mini apartment. Entry instructions brilliant. Felt very well accommodated.

Located in quiet neighborhood. We walked 2 blocks to the town center and were amazed at all the wonderful things going on at 8 PM in the evening. Everything was open, children were playing in the town square, bakeries still open, restaurants with seating right on the square. Beautiful and lively little town only a few, safe-walking, blocks away. We loved it here and wish we could have stayed for a few days but had a very early flight back home to the US. Really appreciated the van to and from the airport, even at 3:30 AM! This outfit was in direct communication with us and handled everything without a flaw. Note-this was not manned for check in or check out but everything was easily handled by email. Would absolutely stay here again!

The room itself was amazing! The area seems a bit sketchy BUT it’s not! We went into the Markopoulo square and it was lively! Definitely a good place to stay near the airport for an overnight. Especially bc they offer a shuttle to and from.

It was perfect, quiet, clean, comfortable beds, bathroom clean with complimentary shower gels, dining table and chairs small kitchen area with complimentary coffee and bottle of water in the fridge (much appreciated as arrived very late). Shuttle transport from airport great ( driver polite and only 10 minutes drive away) only a few minutes walk to shops and restaurants. I would thoroughly recommend and would stay here again if staying in Athens.
