Lovely Building + Staff, Horrible Location
Beautifully restored building, friendly staff, horrible location - nowhere near UGA campus, downtown Athens, and no shuttle service! Came up for UGA/GT game. Waited an hour+ for Uber/Lyft as you can’t walk to this property (shady AF area) and it hasn’t dawned on the brilliant owners to offer a shuttle service!! Also, train tracks right outside window w/ train AT 1:30 AM!! Think My Cousin Vinny scene! Not coming back!

The walls are paper thin you can lay on the bed and hear the people talk next door. I was shocked at how loud it was must only be Sheetrock walls and no insulation for sound buffer. The place is nice but don’t look for a good nights rest.

Very cool hotel. The restaurant on the property is excellent! We did not anticipate train tracks right outside our room. Would recommend adding sound machines in each room to drown out trains passing by in middle of night. Cell service was basically non-existent.

Fabulous property! In an up and coming area! When you drive up (after dark) you think “where in the world have I booked a room”! When you turn the corner you say…. “OH WOW.. this is super cool”! 😃… GREAT place to stay if you don’t mind being a few extra min from Downtown by car or Uber!

Solo female traveler friendly!
I really enjoyed my stay as I attended an education conference! The room was great, everyone was super friendly, and I felt very safe as a solo female traveler. They even offered earplugs as the room was near railroad tracks. The reuse of the old mill as a hotel made it a unique place to stay. Other than the parking situation for anyone who doesn’t wish to use valet services and the entrance that wasn’t completely obvious, at least to me, I would definitely stay here again.

The valet and check in is minimal staff but works well. There is a lovely bar and amazing restaurant but it’s in high demand so prepare accordingly with reservations. The rooms are very nice. The rooms close to the elevator - you will hear the elevator. Staff is amazing all around and it’s a great addition to Athens.

Sort of hard to find...it took us three trips around the block, as signage isn't lit up, and you can't really see the hotel from the street. Once we found it, we were thrilled-it's gorgeous! Finding the check-in door took a minute, and there was no one at check in. After 15 minutes, I tried calling the hotel, but went to VM. Finally, I was calling Expedia to see about cancelling our reservation and someone showed up. Was very frustrating after a long travel day. The hotel itself is incredible!
