The hotel was clean and staff were friendly. The bar wasn’t open the entire time we were there. The breakfast was very basic, muffins, coffee, juice, cereal, granola bars and waffles.
A nice and quiet place to stay. It is set up with minimalism in mind I’d say. The complaint about the bathroom barn doors in another review is fair but not that bad. Basically there is about an inch gap between the wall and the inside of the door so you can peek in at an angle if so inclined. Mattress are really soft. Probably too soft. Everything else was great
The property itself was great. We have trouble with stairs and our request for first floor and near rooms was not honored in spite of requesting three different ways, and early in the booking process. There is not elevator.
We cancelled our reservations when we arrived. On a Saturday evening, the parking lot was deserted. Went inside, the floors were dirty and needed vacuuming. The hotel is in an impoverished little town with zero dining options. The hotel had zero dining options! We left with no other hotel prospects. We’d rather have slept in the car!
The bed was super uncomfortable. As in we sank to the middle of it. The bathroom was kinda weird. It nothing that wasn’t doable. Small town so the good option for door dash was limited. Nice place, loved the lobby area. Only complaint is they needed a new bed in the room we stayed in
Our room was very clean with lovely decor. Staff was very accommodating. We enjoyed the fall weather on the spacious outside patio. Would definitely stay again while in the area.
Overall this was a great visit. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the staff were mostly friendly. The faculty member/manager working with the students wasn't very friendly. Would have liked a few more choices on the breakfast.
It was connected to a college. Not sure if this was good or bad. The students working the facility have not been trained. Very unprofessional, not sure motel 6 would hire these individuals. The front desk clerk at checkin appeared to have slept 🛌 n his clothes. When asking questions about facility he did not know anything. We found this true of all employees. If these individuals are being trained to operate a like facility, then the instructors failed.
Other than a very strong odor inside the facility, it was clean. The outside was in need of maintenance. The patio area had several OSHA violations and just needed a good cleaning. The breakfast bar was very limited but what was there needed help. Two coffee pots did not indicated which was regular or decaf. When desk clerk was asked he did not know and made no effort to find out. The rooms at best should have one cabinet or vanity to store clothes.
What was good about facility was the ladies who cleaned the 2nd floor on both days were very helpful and what they did not know they attempted to find out. I would move them to front desk.
The location was great for us.
To sum this up, the facility could be great with the right management team in charge.
The hotel was beautiful. The lobby was very clean and decorated appropriately with newer furnishings. The room itself was super cute. The rustic touches offered the perfect vibes for a lodge. I wish there would have been an ice machine closer to the room, (we had to go to the front desk for ice) and an elevator would have also been nice. I didn’t LOVE the set-up of the room. There was nowhere to hang clothes or store bags. The curtains didn’t block the light very well, and the bed sank in the middle which was slightly uncomfortable after a while. Overall, we enjoyed our stay even if there were a few things that could use improvement. We will be back again!!
Very friendly and polite staff, felt very comfortable and welcoming...

Not a family friendly room
The staff was awesome. The room was clean. But.... the room is very unfunctional. Why is the sink OUTSIDE the bathroom in the roon. Why? Theres nothing in the bathroom...no stands no hooks no toilet lid no place to put anything. I never seen such a ridiculous set up. The sink is in the room. How you supposed to do anything in the bathroom with no place to put anything. And theres no desk or chair. Theres ONE chair in the corner. Thats it. Where anyone else supposed to sit. Well....on the bed which sucked too because the matress was OLD. It had a dip in it and it was only queen size. So that sucked. We left a day early. I will never stay there again. It was clean. Not functional AT ALL.
