I had a reservation at this hotel and even completed the pre-check-in, where I clearly noted that I wouldn’t be able to check in until after 7 p.m. After a full day of traveling, we went to see my grandparents and pick up my new car, then arrived at the hotel around 9 p.m. When we tried to check in, we were told the hotel was sold out and that one of their rooms had gone down for maintenance, so they didn’t have a room for us — even though I already had a confirmed reservation.
What made it worse was that there was a “Sold Out” sign on the door, so it felt like they knew earlier and never gave me a heads up. Instead, we had to call Expedia at 9:30 p.m. and spend about an hour and a half on the phone getting things sorted out, when all we wanted to do was eat and relax. Because of this, we were exhausted and slept in the next day, which messed up our plans. The way this was handled and the lack of communication were extremely disappointing. Never even got to stay here!
