I did not appreciate the fact that there was NO security or maintenance crew at night. Felt unsafe. My bathroom was broken for hours and they had to call in an employee from their home to come and fix it. Ridiculous.

The property was great for us because we walked to most of our destinations. The bedroom was amazing, the bed were so comfortable, the bathroom was very well cleaned and up today. Downside, the elevators seemed to not work at first, the breakfast was not included and on the fruit had a bed fly in it. The area outside was smelly, I do assume because we were in the city.

The hotel has been updated and the choices were beautiful. It's an old, historic hotel which I did not realize until I got on their website. The history of the hotel was the neatest part and you can tell they are trying to subtly convey that in artwork in the rooms and common areas. As a history nerd, I would have loved to have seen more information, plaques and old photos of the hotel. Overall, the stay was great. The fitness center was recently updated and was very clean- the staff was nice. The breakfast buffet (extra cost) was good and they had a lot of options. Beds and rooms were comfy and clean too- overall, I had a great stay here. It was walkable to the GWCC and Centennial Olympic Park!

We spent the weekend at the American Hotel and it was great! The hotel is centrally located and was very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and comfortable.

My sister and I enjoyed our stay, it was a very nice clean room with a view of the Ferris wheel and we had a short walk to State Farm arena for the Serenade concert.
