The Space:
Pyrenees Views by Tiny Away is located in the serene countryside of the historic town Avoca and just 19 minutes from the large service town of Maryborough. Avoca boasts a vibrant arts scene, historical sites, and beautiful parks, making it a popular destination for both locals and tourists alike and just an hour's drive from the lively towns of Bendigo, Ballarat, and Castlemaine.

What's more, this charming retreat offers breathtaking rural views and a variety of birdlife, including eagles, hawks, colorful parrots, magpies, owls, budgerigars, and various smaller species. At night, you might also spot and hear possums, along with rabbits, hares, and the occasional kangaroo.

It's a comfortable 139-square-foot tiny house that is easily accessible and close to a beautiful old ash tree, offering shade during the warmer months. Its panoramic views of the mountains and gently sloping terrain create a perfect ambiance for unwinding and rejuvenation.

Complete with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and a gas-heated shower.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Our property is home to 20 or so sheep which migrate to various parts of the property during the day including around the tiny house. For light sleepers, we recommend bringing earplugs for a peaceful and restful stay.

Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the tiny house and its surroundings. Moreover, we kindly ask guests to respect and avoid crossing the fence into the residential section of the property.

In this charming countryside, you can find supermarkets, delightful local restaurants serving delicious food, and picturesque parks to explore. What's more, if you're traveling from the cities of Ballarat or Bendigo, it's just an hour's drive to reach this picturesque countryside destination.

- Summerfields Winery and Wayward Winery offer high-quality delicious restaurant meals.
- For family-run wineries, we have the organic wineries of Mount Avoca, Peerick Winery, Dog Rock, and St Ignatius.
- Olive and Lavender is a lovely country-style cafe offering good coffee, great food, and a beautiful olive tree-adorned courtyard.
- Sallys Paddock, Bigabilla, Dalwhiney, Taltarni, and Blue Pyrenees all offer amazing, snacks, cheese, and grazing platters. Taltarni also has regular live music.
- Avoca Hotel offers a warm atmosphere, delicious pub dishes, and a variety of beverages including local wines and craft beer, ideal for a casual meal or a leisurely drink with friends.

Getting Around:
By car:

- 31 mins drive from Clunes
- 51 mins drive from Ballarat
- 2 hrs, 7 mins from Melbourne
- 1 hr, 10 mins drive from Bendigo
- 19 mins drive from Maryborough

By public transport:

There is no taxi service in the area that I know of, and unfortunately Avoca does not have regular public transport. The closest town that has regular public transport is Maryborough , which is 20 minutes away.

- Breakfast is available for an extra cost
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- Please dispose of your cigarette butts properly
- No open fires and BBQ grills allowed during fire season
- No smoking allowed inside, except in designated areas
- Telstra has a good signal, while the rest have weak signals
- We also provide outdoor tables and chairs and two tree hammocks
- Pets are not allowed on beds and sofas, and clean after your pet’s droppings
- Please clean up after your pet’s shedding before checking out in courtesy of other guests
- Please note that this is a PET-FRIENDLY property, and pet policies will be sent prior to arrival
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge

Farm guidelines

- Please be advised that we have sheep (and noise) on our property
- Keep a safe distance from pets and farm animals as they are easily agitated
- Always remember to shut the gates before entering and leaving the paddocks
- Please do not enter animal paddocks or yards without the land host's permission
- We also ask guests not to feed farm animals as they are on specific diets for their health

Important note:

- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property.  
- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the [compost/cassette] toilets and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
