We arrived at about 10am and check in is 3pm. They put our bags in storage and we went to get something to eat. About 1:30 we returned to check on the room. It was ready and they had already moved our bags to the room. The room was well serviced each day.
The hotel is lovely. The rooms are very good and the heating system is simple to use.the staff are all lovely.
Breakfast could be improved. The cooked breakfast is buffet style and the products they use seem great quality but as it’s all in warming trays, it’s actually cold or lukewarm at best. Thus hotel would be perfect if the breakfast was cooked for you rather than dive buffet style.
Nothing to criticise. Felt we were well looked after from moment of arrival to departure. Rooms recently redecorated, comfortable and spotless. Would definitely return if in Norwich
Lovely hotel, clean tons and very helpful staff. Problem was the noise. There was a party in the evening and you could hear the music from the room so had to go out until well after midnight. Other noise issues - it’s a long tone since I’ve stayed in a room where the walls are so thin you can hear snoring from a neighbour 😱
Beautiful hotel in a perfect position in the city centre. Very friendly staff and nice breakfast.
Ate in the restaurant too and the meal was excellent.
Will definitely stay again .
They dont take cash. Really dumb for tourists who want to use cash

Superb location near Norwich Cathedral. Lovely characterful old building complex which was spotless. Friendly staff and a decent breakfast buffet (just steer clear of the awful ketchup and brown sauce). However , if you are going to put an iPad in each room which supposedly has guest information, then make sure it's charged for use. I reported this on the day of arrival, and it was not rectified over the next three days. Whichever stylist or designer thought it was a good idea to have the whole surface of the bathroom mirror dotted with simulated tarnish should be sacked immediately and banned from making any other stupid style over function choices.
When we arrived we were told we'd been upgraded to a suite, which was a lovely surprise (The Sefton, room 5). What a gorgeous room! Charming character with views to the cathedral. Room was large with plenty of storage.
Downsides were spiral staircase and room was very warm, so wouldn't recommend for a summer stay! We had to have the windows open, which then meant you got all the traffic noise and people leaving clubs and pubs. There is no aircon.
The bed was super comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful.
