We stayed at Gaja Hotel for three nights. The owners, Demet and Gökhan, are wonderful! We visit Ayvalık at least once a year to see my husband's family, so we're very familiar with the area. We've stayed in many different places, and we're glad Gaja opened because now we know where to stay in the future.
The hotel is located outside the busy area but is within walking distance to the center. It has a beautiful breakfast that we enjoyed every morning. The room was spacious, with AC, a refrigerator, and a safe. The hotel is very clean and modern, and the room had everything we needed.
There’s a coffee shop nearby called Crown Coffee Roastery—everything I’ve tried there was great. It’s an expert coffee shop with high-quality options. I also buy coffee beans from Crown; they have interesting blends, from red wine to pine honey.
There’s a local shop, Moyy Atölye, right on the main street next to the hotel. I’ve bought jewelry and clothing there over the years and enjoy using them.
We enjoyed our stay at Gaja—it’s convenient yet private. We will definitely be back!
