From our arrival to our departure, we felt very welcomed and well taken care of by our wonderful hosts. They were very attentive, and went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible.
The rooms are very nice, and being dug into the rock, remained quite cool despite the soaring temperatures outside. The bed was very comfortable, and the rest of the room very comfortable. There is also a series of terraces with outdoor furniture, as well outdoor jacuzzis.
The breakfast at this hotel is absolutely special. Besides the traditional croissants, pains au chocolat or pains aux raisins, there was some of the local traditional bread, as well as fresh squeezed juices, home baked cakes, crepes, jam, yoghurt and vanilla custard. Simple, and yet one of the best breakfasts I've had so far, even considering some of the 5 start luxury hotels I've been at.
All in all, this is a charming little hotel, that makes you forget of all those bland hotel chains. There, you get to meet the owners, chat with them during breakfast or while they tend to the hotel, and get to learn about the region, how they built the hotel, all while enjoying a quiet and restful stay in a beautiful property.
