Breathtaking mountain views, privacy, and room to spread out! We offer old-world charm with a large 2-story country home.

A rustic gas fireplace invites you into the large living room. All 4 bedrooms are located upstairs (sleeps 7-8, 3 queen beds and 1 double bed, and a futon for extra sleeping-the futon is located downstairs) 2 full bathrooms (1 located upstairs and 1 on the main floor) both with a tub and shower. Large kitchen with all the amenities, full sized refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, stocked coffee and tea bar. We also have another full sized refrigerator in the attached garage for your use. We have a laundry room with full sized washer and dryer.

For entertainment we have a pool table, games, cards, Dish TV, Wi-fi, stereo/radio, and large green lawns for outdoor activities. We also have an outdoor fire pit for your enjoyment (not available during fire season). Three large decks and a small balcony. The lower deck has a gas BBQ grill and table and chairs to enjoy your meals or just sit back and relax. Enjoy your morning coffee on the back deck off of the kitchen nook, breathe the fresh air and take in the majestic view of the Elkhorn Mountains! The upper deck has the most fantastic views of both the Elkhorn and Eagle Cap Mountains. Enjoy the various wildlife that frequent the area.. Owls, deer, elk, maybe even a fox, just to name a few!

Weather permitting - a firepit is in the backyard for you to enjoy.

Included is a one bay attached garage for your car (plus extra parking in front of the other 2 garage doors), snowmobile, sleds, ski's, motorcycles or anything you want to keep out of the weather. There is also boat/RV parking available. We are close to skiing, snowmobiling, hiking, fishing.

There is a 2 night minimum. This is a working farm and there is a chance during summer months that we will be haying during your stay. Be assured there is plenty of space and you probably won't notice someone driving through the barnyard. You may enjoy kicking back on the deck and watching them cut/bale hay!

Only minutes away from beautiful, historic downtown. Baker City offers unique shops, wine tasting, great food and several events such as 1st Friday (art displays), 3rd Thursday (wine walk) and Miners Jubilee just to name a few.

***With the Covid 19 Pandemic we understand everyone's concerns. Though it is impossible to guarantee a "Covid Free" environment, we at the D&M Hill Ranch take the utmost precautions in cleaning and disinfecting between guest stays. All hard surfaces and hi touch surfaces are always cleaned and disinfected with an antibacterial cleaner. All linens/towels are washed in hot water with bleach, and non washable surfaces such as furniture is sprayed down with lysol. We encourage all guests to be proactive in washing their hands upon returning from any public place and to practice social distancing measures that you are comfortable with. ***

HUNTING CREW
This our second year renting this property for elk hunting. We are getting too old to camp out so we found this property that fits our needs very well. There is a garage bay to use for gear and plenty of room. The property is extremely clean especially considering it's location on a working farm. Being outside of town lends itself to privacy and the views are spectacular! We were very satisfied yet again!

Met our daughter, son-in-law and 2 year old granddaughter in a central location so neither of us had to drive far. The house is well-appointed and comfortable with amazing view of the Elk Horn Mountains. The farmhouse atmosphere was right up our alley!

This cozy house was perfect for our time in Haines. We were there for our nephews wedding! We cooked for the rehearsal, and this was about 5 miles from where the venue was. So nice to come back to a quiet, air conditioned bedroom to rest. Perfect scenery to relax in. Thank You!

We were four women from our church who went for a one-day spiritual retreat. This property was exactly what we needed. There were enough beds and bedrooms for us. We had great indoor and outdoor space to separate and spend time alone, but also provided great space to gather together for meals and for fellowship. We loved it!

Baker Views!
We just wrapped up a wonderful stay at the D & M Hill Ranch in Baker City, Oregon, with great views of the Elkhorn Mountains. We were not new to Baker and chose this house for two reasons. First, the house was close to the wedding we would be attending. Secondly, the house had 3 queen size beds and a king, giving all three of our kids the same sleeping experience. The house was incredibly clean and cool, despite the 107-degree temperatures outside. While the farmhouse has a strong vintage feel, small touches like black and white throw pillows, for example, show a more contemporary and lighter vibe. It has a nice blend of modernity and history to make for a comfortable experience overall. As I was leaving, I was regretting that I did not have time to hang out on one of the decks and do very little. The property owner was very responsive and we had absolutely no issues. We did not see the Welcome Book in the front hall and did not need it as we had so much family stuff going on. I hope if you are getting to Baker to hunt, fish, or go to a wedding, you will consider this property. You won't be disappointed.

Charming farmhouse stay
Charming farmhouse with a mix of old and new furnishings and décor. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen supplies were well stocked, allowing for easy cooking. We enjoyed the beautiful views out the windows and off the decks. The active hay harvesting going on was so interesting to watch, and was a bonus we didn't expect. Lorrie was a very friendly host and we would definitely stay here again.

Our trip included 5 sisters in law. We loved every single thing from the communication when we booked, to the easy directions upon arrival to get in, to the cleanliness and organization of the house. We all agreed we also loved the porches/decks with great views, the mountains, the owls that live nearby and also how close we were to Baker. This was the perfect getaway for our family. We loved the quiet evenings out on the deck and having breakfast on the back porch with an amazing view. It is just a short drive to town. The place stayed so cool and comfortable as long as we followed her instructions. It was fun to teach our youngest to play pool. I highly recommend it.

Staying at D&M Hill Ranch was absolutely wonderful. Care has been taken to feel like a welcoming home, not a rental. The home is comfy and surrounded by incredible views. The yard was perfect to sit and enjoy the surroundings and play with our little ones. Thoughtfulness was taken to label and provide for all our needs with a darling coffee nook, kitchen, large deck with bbq and more. Absolutely loved our time there

Beautiful view!
The views from the back of this house are beautiful! The farm house was clean and well stocked. It is a 1910 house so some small older home issues (rust and sediment coming out of the pipes when first turn on, etc...). The air conditioning are window units that had a hard time keeping it cool on the hot August days that we were there, but by 11:00 at night it would cool down outside enough to open the windows. The host was easy to communicate with and quick to respond.

Your house was just perfect for my family to stay in while we were in town for a wedding. Beds were comfortable, decks were cool in the mornings and evenings, and the views and fresh air couldn't have been more relaxing. We will definitely consider staying here again!

This property is simply beautiful! The house is large and comfy with so many unique decorations and things to do. We love the coffee nook and the well stocked kitchen. Beautiful, Clean & Comfortable Country Vacation
This immaculately maintained country home is the pinnacle of a quiet country get away! The amenities were unmatched and the views unparalleled! Our wedding party consisting of 24-30 year old military men and spouses stayed in this home and were blown away by the views and accommodations. We've stayed at the Hill Ranch before, and for the same reason. To ski at Anthony Lakes..."Same as it ever was" ! We just love the place, the age, the ambience, the location and the price is so reasonable. After snowy days in the deep stuff the fireplace is so nice. The garage really works for endless winter mornings. And the owners were great to work with when we had changes. If you want modern, sleek, hustle and bustle find somewhere else. But if you want something as comfortable as your favorite shoe, this is the place!

Property Owners Were Wonderful and my Adult Children and families Loved the House
We had my father-in-law’s funeral on the same weekend as a state championship basketball tournament so I took to VRBO to find a place for our 3 adult kids, their spouses and their kids to stay. They all agreed that the house was perfect for them. Yes it is a little rustic but that added to the charm of the house. They said it was fully appointed and 2 out of 3 of the couples said the beds were more comfortable than their expensive beds at home. I went over one night and even in the dark, the views of the Elkhorn Mountains were outstanding. This is a beautiful location and the house was very charming. To top it off, Lorrie (property owner) was extremely accommodating and worked with me on my headcount so that I didn’t over or underpay. Highly recommend.
