Ideal for Chatsworth
Friendly staff, good size room, bathroom smaller just a good shower, not bath, but ok and windowsill meant you had room to store toiletries. Room next to road but no noise with double glazing. 3 choices of breakfast depending on how hungry you were. Ideal for Chatsworth, go across the road & you are able to get in the grounds & take a walk across to the house.

Nice stop in a lovely town
Beautiful historic setting, great food, indoor and outdoor seating, plenty of parking. It's at the village center on the main road, so you can hear a bit of traffic if the windows are open

I had a really enjoyable stay. I’m a lone traveller and this location was ideal. The pub staff were very friendly, food was good and the rooms clean and comfortable. Can’t fault it.

The location is wonderful, close to Chatsworth and some beautiful walking country, the room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly, accommodating and flexible when we asked for things. The perfect place to stay.

Within walking distance to Chatsworth House. Well priced dining and breakfast. Room was clean and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff. No disabled access. A small in room fridge would have been nice. We plan to revisit the area and would happily book here again.

Quiet, cosy break
When I arrived the pub was very busy but the gentleman who showed me to my room was courteous and made sure I had everything I needed. The room was warm and cosy with the biggest comfiest bed I think we've ever slept in! Although our window faced the main road, the traffic noise was not noticeable. Breakfast was plentiful and the waitress was so lovely with my children. I would definately stay here again and make use of their restaurant next time.
