This hotel was in a great location in downtown Banff! We had a great stay here. I have four stars because the tile around the roof pool was falling apart. It looked like they were getting ready to replace it so once that’s complete I would give it a 5!
Excellent over all. Close to everything in Banff townsite (3-5 min walk). Very clean. Amazing views from our 4th floor suite. Only complaint would be that only one of the roof top hot tubs was working (it was being renovated?) and we weren’t notified when booking

Liked: Staff & service
Location is conveniently located to the town center with plenty of shopping and eating options but our room was facing the street which meant noise at all hours. Air conditioner/heater was a box unit which turning on and off created more noise in the room. Plenty of free parking in the garage. Staff was friendly, Paccini restaurant onsite was good. Spa understaffed (per the spa) and couldn’t get two appointments together for our requested services (called three weeks in advance). Rooms are small and need significant updating. Overall, this really isn’t a resort but just another overpriced average hotel.
I come to the Moose hotel, every year sometimes twice, specifically for their hot pools, dry sauna and views. It has been my favourite hotel.
We arrived to find that the pool and sauna were closed and not only that but there is a huge barrier/wooden walls to conceal the repairs they’re doing that completely block any mountain views. We were so disappointed.
To add, the room rates are usually between $300-$500 depending when you book they jacked the rates up to $800 minimum.
Expedia was great at reconciling but I still paid $800 for a king size bed and basically zero amenities. Not worth it for anyone considering booking!! Beware
My friends and I stayed at the Moose hotel for a girls week away and we loved it! The rooms were spacious and clean. The mini fridge worked really well at keeping our snacks cold. We loved the in hotel spa and the hot tub and outside fire had beautiful Mountain views and was the perfect way to relax after a day hiking. The staff were also very friendly and helpful and we were grateful to be able to borrow bear spray from the hotel without charge (only charged if you end up needing to use it). Lastly, we loved how close it was to shopping and restaurants and there was easy transportation nearby for going to things like the Banff gondola. I would definitely stay here again!
I loved this property. Our experience at this hotel was top notch from the moment we walked in. The staff were attentive, welcoming and went above and beyond for my birthday. We had a suite on the 4th floor that made coffee on the balcony feel very magic and breath taking. The rooftop hot pool, fire and just the whole ambience is absolutely stunning. I would 100% recommend staying here and will book here again.
Amazing property, super clean rooms, fireplace, the rooftop hot tub with a mountain view - just a dream! We stayed at 4 different hotels during our recent trip to Alberta, and Moose Hotel was the best one. I would stay here again for sure.
This is the perfect place to stay in Banff! Great location, really cool vibe. The hot pool was wonderful! We had a 2 bedroom suite that was great for us. Wonderful view. We enjoyed the restaurant and bar!!
Beautiful property with walk ability to do many shops and restaurants. Love the free underground parking as well. The hot tub in the 4th floor has a great view!
