We've stayed at the Moose before and really enjoyed it, but this time went a little different. It started with our 1st room having an uncleaned bathroom (sticky counter top and completely uncleaned toilet covered in urine and hair - gross!) which we noticed after we had unloaded all our luggage into the room. The girls at the front desk were great about handling the situation: apologies were made, moved rooms, gave us a bottle of wine and gave our kids moose stuffies. Our next room seemed fine until the next day after the pool when we went to shower and the drain backed up ankle deep within minutes. We didn't bother reporting this issue as we didn't want to move rooms again, we just managed it as best we could with very quick showers. Then on checkout, as I was downstairs loading the luggage into the truck my wife was helping the kids use the bathroom before hitting the road and they turned our water off! It was 11:45am, apparently checkout was 11:30am and since we weren't out yet they just shut off the water. My kids couldn't even wash their hands. Funny thing was, they didn't even have a housekeeping crew anywhere near our room yet, so it's not like we were holding anyone up. Just a frustrating and petty way to end a reservation which cost us $1700 for 4 nights.
