So this is not a review of the Red Carpet Inn because we complained about the room there and was moved to a nice room in Irwins Mountain Inn. The Red Carpet Room was small and smelly. It had no closet space and two hooks for hangers!

My room was very out dated, stains on the carpets and the mattress wasn’t even fitted for the bed frame properly, it hung over about 6 inches. For the price is cost, definitely not worth it.

The building is a maze and could use a refresh, but our room was very nice and modern with a balconey mountain view. For just a place to sleep it fit the bill. It didn't seem to offer much more, but I can't be sure. Parking was underground and thank goodness we were driving a small vehicle. Many restaurants in the area. The traveller just has to remember Banff in the summer is super expensive for what you get. Be prepared for sticker shock, but then look at the beautiful mountains and protected national park and smile.

There was no closet in the room, which was quite inconvenient. The vanity was located in the main room instead of the bathroom, which felt unusual and lacked privacy. Check-in had to be completed in a different building. The air conditioning unit was very noisy and made it difficult to sleep. Considering these issues, the price for one night felt unreasonably high for the quality of the accommodation.

Room was nice for the cost, and parking was readily available. However, there was no front desk staff in the hotel so you have to go next door to talk to reception (weird). Also, the heater in the room did not work and the only ice machine we could find was broken. The doors into the hotel were not secured, even the second floor door, and with no hotel staff in the hotel that seemed potentially unsafe.
