We stayed for 3 nights in June 2025. The staff were brilliant and the location is very central to everything. Everything was a 10minute trip or walk. The water pressure was quite low, if that is something that effects your choice… there was also a lot of construction going on out the front of the hotel during our stay which wasn’t great for the atmosphere. It did not affect our sleep at all.

Location was great- could walk to most points of interest or take nearby metro. Hotel was clean, staff very helpful, pleasant & professional. Good breakfast choices—good food during first stay but different cook during 2nd stay was definitely challenged cooking eggs! No late checkout unless you agree to pay— its worth the cost but could be adjusted some.

Great time at Villa de Pranakorn

I had a great time staying at Villa de Pranakorn. The staff were friendly and helpful and my room was clean and spacious with a huge king-sized bed! It's in a great location - a lot of the tourist sites are close by but also the local restaurants offer amazing value too.

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The staff were extremely welcoming and were constantly making sure that I had everything I needed. Even at 12 midnight they were available to help me if I needed something. The food was amazing and the hotel room itself was very spacious and luxurious.

This was a nice, comfortable, quiet hotel with western style amenities and a first class staff. We did not spend any real time at the hotel aside from sleeping and showering but it was nice to come back to after a day touring through temples and markets.

Very clean hotel and room. Staff were very friendly, greeting us each time we came back to the hotel. The snacks and drinks in our room were complimentary which was a pleasant touch. The room was clean and in good condition. They provided good quality toiletries so I didn't even use my own. We had a lovely stay.

Rooms need a little upgrading but fine for a few nights. Conveniently located to Chinatown and temples but a Grab / taxi ride to other neighborhoods. Not really a walkable city..too big for that and hot and humid. Staff are kind and helpful.

Restful oasis near the MRT train

Great staff and huge, comfortable beds (firmer but comfortable) and a soaking bathtub. Wish both the bath water and the pool had been slightly hotter but still refreshing and relaxing! Great coffee and open spaces for working and reading in the lobby. Every night they brought us a nighttime snack, earplugs and a mask. Great service! There was a little bit of construction on the street which confused some but not all of our Grab drivers and kept me up a little more than I’d liked, but only for one night out of the three. It did look like it was moving down the street but ask and use the earplugs if you’re sensitive to sound like I am! We were able to take the MRT train which is just down the street and easily skip some of the above ground traffic of Bangkok! FYI- there’s a lovely canal nearby that makes for quiet walks inside the city!

An excellent experience! Every staff member was warm, and gracious. The area is extremely walkable and centrally located. The meals at the hotel were excellent. Overall, a very, very nice stay.

Great location and lovely room

Deluxe room at back of hotel was large, stylish and quiet. The construction works in the streets beside the hotel were not audible to us so not a problem Lovely staff. Gorgeous bed and high thread count linen. Negative was lack of drawers or shelving in room and bathroom. This made no sense as the room had lots of space for more storage. Tuk tuk into old Bangkok is 100 baht ( or less if you really want to haggle). I’d recommend tuk tuks for shorter journeys but a car for longer trips. Bangkok is huge and some of the sites are a 20-30 minute drive which could shake your teeth out in a tuk tuk.

Christmas at the Villa de Pranakorn

We were there Christmas Eve and it was a fantastic experience. We paid a little extra for their Christmas meal which turned out to beyond our expectations. The food was excellent. There were Christmas stockings on our bedroom door with gifts for us on Christmas morning! Staff were extremely friendly and we felt very very welcome.

Great option for a stay in the old city section. 5-8 min walk to the closest MTR station. Also short walking distance to the Khon theatre (don’t miss this after Grand Palace visit as it’s part of the ticket) and Golden Mount (across from which we had the best coffee of our stay). Decent restaurants and great “street food” choices nearby. We had a room on the canal side which was very quiet. In Dec 2024 there is construction ongoing (to extend the underground MTR) in the area making it less walkable but the city had staff at each intersection to assist with pedestrian crossing.
