We got there late, but the staff was super sweet. They did charge extra for having a 5th person even though i booked one room for 5 people on expedia. Also, their was no hot water. They said it was being worked on at 11:30pm when we arrived, but it was not fixed the next mornimg before we left (around 10am). I would have appreciated it if they would have at least waived the additional charge for the 5th person or at least a verbal appology for the inconvenience, but they did not. However the property is unique and the back yard views are gorgeous. So inspite of no hot water and the unexpected additional charge, it was a good place to stay between the airport and Bar Harbor.

The property was what we needed. It is a nice older hotel. Most of the issues are stated upfront like no elevator. The downsides are the lighting at the street is not very good and if you are not familiar with the area it challenging turning in at night. The hotel does not staff someone at the breakfast to add dishes etc. They are very attentive if you go to the desk and ask for help.

Beautiful property with a gorgeous view of rolling hills & mountains. Older building but very clean & a large walk-in shower. Our room on the 2nd floor was very spacious with lots of windows to see the view.

We chose the Lucerne Inn for our visit to Bar Harbor and Acadia Nat'l Park. Although it was a good 30 minutes away, the drive was well worth it. The property is just gorgeous, both outside and in. The staff goes out of their way to be helpful. And the price for the room is very reasonable considering what you get. Highly recommend.
