Great location for short down hill walk to ski lodge. Quiet neighborhood.

Not a good stay

Getting into the unit was very challenging as the door code did not work and the instructions did not give the key code for the key box so we waited an hour for someone to come to get us in. The porch was so dirty as were the seat cushions. The internet was incredibly slow and no local channels to watch college football.

Nice short stay

It was a convenient accommodation to visit Land of Oz. If you don’t mind an old building to stay in for a short weekend, it is a good place to stay. It wasn’t thoroughly cleaned, the utensils had food residue, the microwave needed wiping from food spatter, coffee stains in the utensil drawer, some dust on top of the coffee maker and toaster. Some beer top found under the bed, spider web in the corner of the room found. Crumbs across the corner of the kitchen floors were noted too as soon as we arrived. I just wiped and washed everything before use. Otherwise it’s an okay place to stay in for a quick trip. Dishwashing liquid/sponge, soap bar and towels were provided. Convenient location. Good sized fridge.

Long weekend

Over all, it was ok. However, they could do a much better job at cleaning. There were cobwebs all over the house, the dishes in the cabinets were dirty, utensils were sparse and broken. If they have a cleaning service cleaning the property, they should find new ones. It wasn't super horrible but they could do better. Overall, we enjoyed the stay but the cleanliness or lack of, we would not stay again.

Disappointed and not as described

The master bedroom had water stains and ceiling falling down. I have pictures. The property was very dated(specifically the bathroom). I would never rent this place again until updated.

Cute Place, Bad Bed

The place was small but cute - perfect for 2 people. The carpet and linens were pretty worn, and the mattress so hard we couldnt sleep on it after the first night. We got an air mattress and slept on it in the living room. Also, sharp tacks sticking out on the edge of living room carpet punctured my bare feet. The bed could be fixed with a $300 mattress. The other stuff is pretty cheap to replace as well. Could be a really nice hideaway

NC Getaway

Very nice location and clean bathrooms and bedrooms. Great location only 5 minutes from the shopping center. Only complaint was the amount of spiders and other critters that kept coming in to the cabin.

Dirty ski home

The bathroom was dirty and had bugs in it. Cobwebs all over home. Carpet was filthy and carpet nails from carpet just being laid in place kept sticking our feet and had to wear our shoes all the time. Plating coming off kitchen faucet cold water handle and cut my husband. Bed hard as if we slept on floor. Space had a horrid smell and all blankets smelled unclean also. The home would be a great space if properly taken care of by management or owners.

Perfect for a ski weekend

Briarcliff was perfect for a one night stay to ski at Sugar Mountain. The unit is small but is all you need when you’re going to be out on the mountain. Looks out over the slopes, but would be a decent walk with snow boots and equipment (we drove). Overall what we were looking for.

Nice weekend getaway

Briarcliff is a perfect no-frills getaway for a mountain weekend. Unit is nice and easy to check in to. Only complaints would be that while it is technically walking distance from the resort, it’s a bit of a hike if you’re carrying equipment. Also, the pull out couch was pretty uncomfortable, but that’s usually how it goes. Overall got the job done.

Pictures made it look a lot nicer than it actually was.

Property is perfect for the winter months but not so much for the summer months. Condo did not have any a/c and the only thing indicating that was a little notice at the very bottom of the description.
