We rented Due Sorelle for our extended family during our son's wedding weekend at Early Mountain Vineyards. We loved the house -- it was charming and spotless, with the bonus of a generous welcome basket waiting for us at our arrival. It provided a restful, comfortable home base for our out-of-town parents and siblings to prepare for the weekend activities and relax between events at the vineyard (only a 15 minute drive away). Our family members also enjoyed spending time on the patio and raved about the peaceful surroundings and beautiful view.
While we were particularly interested in the home for our 90+ year old parents, our one "lesson-learned" was that the house may not have been the best-equipped for their needs. For example, the primary bathroom on the first level did not have grab bars installed. And, as is true in many older homes, there are many steps up and down between rooms which make it a little tricky to navigate for older folks wanting to avoid falls.
Also, although we did not have children staying with us for the weekend, if we did we would have wanted to know that some of the beautiful, fine furnishings in the home are antique, delicate, and one-of-a-kind irreplaceable. As a grandparent myself, I would have needed to be extra-diligent to watch our little ones if they had been with us.
Overall, Due Sorelle is an incredibly beautiful, relaxing, and restful place to enjoy a weekend away. We would highly recommend it!
