The refrigerator was not working efficiently and I lost about $130 of charcuterie overnight. I went to front desk in the morning ant checkout and explained the problem. They called me a few hours after checkout and said the refrigerator was working. He said she said. But the charcuterie was spoiled.

Uncomfortable Lighting
The hotel is relatively new. So, most everything is in good condition. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The lighting in the rooms, however, was insufficient. The walls were painted dark blue/gray and, without daylight coming through the sheets or open curtains, the room was very dark. There was a blinding overhead light, but that was uncomfortable as well.

Property was clean. They were short staffed but it was a holiday. Twice we walked in and nobody was at the lobby desk. I believe there was only one worker. She was super nice but busy. It felt a little unsafe to have nobody at front desk. The area was complete age though so maybe nothing to worry about. It was clean!

The only thing I didn’t like is the first morning when we went down for breakfast around 8:45 we were told that since it was close to 9 am no more food would be brought out. Therefore we did not the the hot breakfast we were expecting to get.

Weekend Stay
Our original room was a king size bed room which was very nice. TV was not working. They ended up moving us to a room with two beds. Still a nice room but the room with the king size bed is a little nicer. However, the front desk was very helpful and made changes quickly. The hotel is well kept and very nice.

Excellent hotel. Very clean and friendly staff. 5 minutes from heaven hill. Perfect place to stay for Bardstown bourbon tours! Will be back when we visit in the future.

Only stayed for one night. Staff was not friendly, but did what they were supposed to. Walked in to check in and their first words were "May I see your ID?" lol Once checked in all was great. Breakfast ends right on time. They wont wait for you and they are very eager to shut it down, FYI. Only stayed for one night and I'd stay there again if in the area.
