Great location, friendly staff.
Very friendly staff. Stayed with a large dog which was no problem at all. Unfortunately, the smell of the hotel was to my personal opinion rather unpleasant. I was able to change rooms what only mitigated the situation to some extent. Now, how one senses scents is very individual hence I cannot judge if others don’t notice the smell.

Mövenpick is one of the better chain hotels in Basel. Very near SBB train station and close to city centre. Hotels very clean and the staff efficient. Only grumble is the room temperature which can’t really be adjusted- very warm through the night. Breakfast is okay but expensive so be aware.

Love to stay there. Either on work trips or even with kids during family visits. The rooms are very quiet. Beds are super comfy. The room temperature can be adjusted easily. Every detail is high quality. Staying a few hours in the room to do some work is very comfortable. The rooms are a bit on the small side though. I suggest to book a room on the higher floors. Otherwise you may look straight into the office building next door. In my opinion the in-room dining could have a few more options. I usually book without breakfast and walk to one of the many cafes nearby. The staff is sensational. They really care.
