Good choice in the Vosges, France
In general a great stay, very quiet surrounding, at least in summer. The traditional room is good but without a balcony. Most disappointing was, that the WIFI in the room didn't work. This is not state of the art anymore. Breakfast is good and for dinner the restaurant is excellent. However you shouldn´t expect thousand of choices in the restaurant. My guess is they limit the number for choices but provide quality.

Great for relaxing!
Once we had found the hotel, which is signposted in the village as "Ermitage de Frere Joseph" it was lovely, just a shame it took a long time to find! We only stayed one night, driving through to Italy, but would recommend this place for winter sports and also summer time walks and relaxing. There is a swimming pool downstairs with sauna and steam room which was very welcome after a long drive! Dinner in the evening was very good,with a great view out onto the mountains/hills! Breakfast was expensive, €18 pp, but buffet style and plentiful! Beds were very comfortable and the room had a small balcony with views out onto the ski slopes. Would definitely stay again!

Hôtel situé au calme de la montagne. Bon confort et service mais rapport qualité prix moyen sur les services annexes: chien à 18 € et pdj à 19 € guère imaginatif pour ce tarif.

Mooi hotel op mooie locatie met wat minpuntjes
Een heel mooi hotel op een mooie locatie. Er zijn echter wat teleurstellingen vwb het personeel en het diner. Het diner was ronduit teleurstellend en de prijs/kwaliteit verhouding is compleet uit balans. Daarentegen was het ontbijt heerlijk met een uitgebreide keuze. Het personeel is heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam mits je de Franse taal machtig ben. Behalve de receptioniste sprak niemand in het hotel Duits of Engels. Opvallend was wel dat tijdens het diner de bediening consequent Frans tegen ons bleef praten terwijl wij probeerde om in het Duits of Engels te communiceren. Toen wij overstapte om alles consequent in het Nederlands te vragen werd er pas gereageerd door gebrekkig Duits te praten. Hoewel wij beseffen dat het diner een momentopname is zorgde dit wel voor een teleurstelling.
