Check in and out was extremely easy. Sitting area was great, although there are a lot of light switches and mainly ceiling fans with lights and it was hard to figure out which switch operated what. Or to figure out how to turn out just the lights and let the fans run.
It was an 82 degree day (granted in April) when we arrived and there was no AC in sight. Called owner and he said the soonest he could get the AC in was tomorrow morning. And to just open the windows. About half the windows had now screens but he claimed bees don't fly in after dark. Although I'm pretty sure mosquitoes or bats don't care.
Thankfully someone came and installed the AC units later that evening. But they never fully cooled the place down, so I'd imagine it gets really hot in the summer. There was a small window AC unit in the sitting room and then a free standing unit in the bathroom. The bathroom adjoins the 2 bedrooms, but the AC didn't seem to spread into those areas. Or the entire rental is just too big for those AC units to keep up. It was fine during the day but it was warm at night for sleeping. I would think at least some floor fans would help circulate the air.
The little kitchen area is very nice. And plenty of bathroom towels. The rugs in the smaller bedroom can slide, I ended up moving it to avoid falling on the floor. It is an historic house, so flooring is uneven, especially near the steps. Bed in larger room was nice, smaller bedroom bed was very hard and squeaked.
