Very organized with a wonderful shuttle driver awaiting us at the airport. They were very accommodating when we asked to change rooms to a sea view. The rooftop restaurant made for a perfect sunset dinner!

We had a comfortable stay. The room was clean and very spacious, with an ocean/city view combo. The bed was a little too firm but we slept alright on it. The A/C was excellent and the temperature in the room was quite cool and comfortable (and adjustable to our liking). We would have liked an early check-in option, and the front desk said they would call as soon as the room was ready, but I never received a call (had no missed calls, either), and we had to wait over 2 hours to check in, though they did hold our luggage for us, which was nice. They had changed shifts by the time we were able to check in and it seemed like the early shift did not communicate anything about us waiting to the later shift. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and we really liked the rooftop restaurant. It had excellent food and service, and pretty good drinks.

You dont have a pool, your facilities is still under construction, restaurant food was not good on any day we visited. Your local restaurants offer better quality. The room was very nice but the showerhead needs to be soaked in to clean out the sprayer. Staff was wonderful. Shops were ok. We were confused by the floor numbers and room numbers butgot use too it. Thsnks for a wonderful time.

Here's a 4-star review factoring in undisclosed expansion construction: "Golden Bay Belize Hotel gets 4 stars from me, mainly 'cause staff's top-notch (5 stars!). Location's decent, close to city action. However, the kicker was unexpected construction noise – not mentioned upfront.. Rooms were clean, services okay, but the surprise disruption knocked off a star. If you're okay with potential noise and don't mind the hustle, it'll do. Just ask hotel folks for updates if planning to stay!" 😒👍

The hotel has mold . They will tell you they dont . If your allergic to mold and mildew your body will not lie to you. However they have taken multiple preventive measures to control the issue but it has far from helped .

We had a room with jacuzzi , no view in the room , the only view was on a wall of a building in construction when we ask to change room it was not possible . A lot of noise early in the morning.. The good point was the bed which was comfortable.

Overnight Solo Stay

Stayed only for a night, booked the king bed but they only had the two queens available which I wasn’t upset at. Overall solid location and really close to the Belize Water Taxi Terminal. Walking distance to good restaurant options as Belize city isn’t too dense population wise.

Staff was friendly. Room was clean. Nice size shower. Parking was sometimes a bit difficult as the hotel has a store on bottom floor that gets much traffic for the size of the parking area. Also the A/C did not get very cold and difficult to understand the A/C control.

Construction is currently going on around the hotel, due to expanding. Parking is a little bit of a challenge. Over the stay was great and you can’t beat the view of the restaurant at the top of the hotel.
