I chose the hotel because of its location and that didn’t disappoint. However the room was deeply disappointing in several respects and the staff could only offer very limited help. Firstly, the room was decorated in black with very low levels of lighting. The staff couldn’t provide any additional lighting and I had to use a torch to find things. Secondly there was only one power socket and that was at the foot of the bed. The staff did find a very short extension lead so I could charge two items at once, but they had to be on the floor out of reach when in bed. There was very little cupboard or drawer space for clothes and nowhere to put an empty suitcase. The shower was good.

The hotel is in a great gay neighborhood. Bear Bars and Leather Bars within walking distance as well as Adult Stores and gay coffee shops and bookstores. The property itself is dated and could use a soft goods refresh but I enjoyed my stay. Great front desk team and good housekeeping service.

Significantly improved since 2020-2022 when it really went downhill with the clientele it attracted. A lot cleaner, no strange people hanging around & overall a lot clean and tidier. Jacuzzi didn’t work at all which was very disappointing. As with all other Axels, a €150 refundable deposit is payable on arrival & then city taxes payable on departure. Can’t fault it overall unless I end up having to chase for my refundable deposit as Axel Miami I had to chase 3 times before it was eventually released.

The hotel is in a perfect location for what we wanted to do. The staff was very accommodation and welcoming and were kind to store our luggage for us. However, the room needs some maintenance. We could not even shower without the fear of flooding the other floors. the drain did not drain. So we went to the Spa to shower and they were broken as well.

Not the best, but not the worst either. My room was really hot. The ac didn't seem to be working to the point that i couldn't sleep. Pros , close to many things, mall, restaurants and public transportation Cons, older hotel. Not very modern, my room was pretty small, tight, and HOt.. no room for my luggage even I spent most of the day out so it was ok, staff were nice and friendly. Would def not be my first choice as a hotel in berlin.

**DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY** I was extremely disappointed with my stay at this hotel, which I chose for its LGBT-friendly reputation. Unfortunately, my experience fell far short of expectations. Firstly, the cleanliness of the hotel - The room and common areas were noticeably dirty, which was quite off-putting, namely the carpets in the hallways - filthy. The Maintenance in the room was poor - the jet bath didn’t work, and the ceiling had holes in it and teh couch smelled of stale urine. The air conditioning in my room didn’t work during a heatwave with temperatures reaching 30 degrees Celsius. It was unbearable, and despite requesting assistance, no fan was provided until the last day of my stay. Additionally, the steam room and jacuzzi, which were among the amenities I was looking forward to, just didn’t work. This lack of functional facilities was a significant letdown. The team were nice & the location was good - but there are better hotels in the local vicinity that are better value for money and don’t cash in on the LGBTQ+ community by marketing themselves as “hetro friendly”. I chose this hotel for its reputation as an LGBTQ+ friendly establishment and its appeal to gay travellers. Unfortunately, the facilities and overall maintenance fell short of expectations. I worry that this situation may persist as long as the hotel continues to leverage its LGBTQ+ reputation to attract guests without delivering the quality that travellers clearly deserve.

2 night stay. AC was out. No clean towels at gym. Gym lockers broken. Jacuzzi broken. No closet in room. Shower was difficult to get in/out. Very unsafe. Bed was good.

Great Location, poor aircon for summer
The hotel is a great location and the spa is very nice except the spa was not heated. The biggest issue was the lack of reasonable functional air-conditioning as it was extremely hot and hard to sleep due to the efficiency of the air-conditioning. All the guests were complaining and regrettably it is what it is.

Bedbugs found in room switched rooms at 1 AM and was too scared to sleep in the new room a 30 minute nap when she used to shower but only had scolding hot water on both showers and burnt myself and then called 11 o’clock to remind me that I had to check at 12 which I was fully aware of to management Got no response. Sent an email. We’ll see what they do. They don’t seem to care about anybody or customer service. It’s very sad

Location is amazing, but it's very noisy in the hotel, doors closing is very loud, hallway carpet is very dirty, and upon check out they charge "city tax" that no one knows about, Expedia mentions "payment includes all taxes" but they ask for it even though they don't even mention it upon check in.
