Food was great, rooms spacious, awesome staff.
The one thing that was really really a deal-breaker was accessibility if you have any sort of minor mobility issue and lack of conveniently located restrooms in public areas. The pool is around the side of the building and to access it you have to walk up stairs from the parking lot area. The handicapped lift at the corner of the pool was closed off by maintenance and a wall torn apart and left without telling management about it. There are no restrooms near the pool. There is an exercise facility at the front of the building but there is no restroom in the exercise facility or off the main lobby. You have to go up two fights of stairs to the “T” Terrace level to use a restroom in the middle of a long hall.
The poolside bar and restaurant, The Wahoo,” is only accessible by steep stairs from the Terrace level, or from the pool, which again is accessible by stairs. I made it down the stairs to meet family for lunch, and almost fell because the handrails on the stairs are black and were so hot from the sunlight it was impossible to hold onto them for more than a few seconds.
The rooms had nice new walk-in showers, but no grab bar on the wall. The floor of the shower was very slippery, but thankfully the corner shelf was securely attached and I was able to hold it to get in and out.
I walk with a cane, and there were other guests who were staying there who used canes or walkers, as well as at least one man in an electric scooter.
