• Where will you live?
"Dat Nordische Huus" is located in a rural setting on the outskirts of Heerstedt, 12 km from the outskirts of Bremerhaven, between meadows and fields.
You will live in a modern attic apartment of approximately 80 m², completely renovated in 2024 and accessible via a comfortable staircase. From the small, furnished balcony, you have a beautiful view of the greenery. The terrace is located at the rear of the property. Our farm is nearby. It is home to 60 cows. Deer, rabbits, and squirrels occasionally stop by.
• How many people is the apartment suitable for?
The apartment has space for three people. If necessary, a travel cot (suitable for up to 15 kg body weight) can be added. If you would like to vacation with your extended family, we can also offer you a ground floor apartment for four people starting in spring 2025.
• Where can you park and leave your bicycles/strollers?
A parking space is reserved for you at the house. You can store bicycles or strollers in the lockable shed.
• Is there a charging station for electric cars?
Yes, there is a wallbox in the parking lot next to the house. Consumption is billed at moderate rates.
• How is the internet reception?
The house has a fiber optic connection, providing very good LAN and Wi-Fi reception.
• How comfortable is the apartment?
Exterior shutters, triple glazing, sun blinds, and some with insect screens ensure a pleasant indoor climate in the light-filled apartment. This makes it pleasant even on warmer days. In the colder seasons, the underfloor heating provides pleasant warmth.
• How are the living and dining areas equipped?
A 55" Smart TV and a comfortable sofa await you in a stylish setting. The dining area includes four high-quality, comfortably upholstered chairs. A highchair can also be provided upon request. Books and games are also available.
• What is the open-plan kitchen equipped with?
The fully equipped kitchen offers everything you need for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with your loved ones. An oven at eye level, a stovetop, a microwave, and a dishwasher are at your disposal. A hand mixer, toaster, tea towels, and dish soap are also provided. For coffee lovers, there is a coffee machine and a capsule machine (Tassimo).
• What is the bathroom equipped with?
It has a rain shower, plenty of storage space, power outlets, and shelves. Towels are also provided. The ambient lighting makes the bathroom special.
• How many bedrooms are there?
There are two bedrooms, a larger one and a smaller one. The larger bedroom includes a high-quality box spring bed with a large topper (180x200cm), various pillows, wardrobes with hangers, dressers, a smart TV, and USB ports on the bedside table. It can be completely darkened with external blinds, like almost all rooms. The beds are made up upon arrival – everything for a restful, relaxing sleep.
The smaller bedroom has a single bed (90x200cm) and space for a travel cot. However, you would need to bring your own duvet, pillows, and bed linen for the travel cot. There is also a desk, a LAN socket, and two fold-out wall hooks for coat hangers, as well as storage space for clothes in the lower sloping ceiling. However, space for clothes is somewhat limited here. The room can also be used for a home office.
• Is there a washing machine?
A washing machine, dryer, and clothes horse, as well as an iron and ironing board, can be found in the small utility room.
• What's there to see in the area?
Since you live on the outskirts of town, you're right in the middle of nature. Ideal for hiking and cycling through fields, forests, meadows, and moors. If you want to experience more, Bremerhaven and the surrounding area, with its many attractions and events in summer and winter, are not far away. The city is easily accessible by car, train, or, in some cases, bus. The North Sea beaches and the Wadden Sea, all the way up to Cuxhaven, are only about 45 to 60 minutes away by car. The offshore island of Heligoland and the city of Bremen are also worth a visit.
