Welcome to 170 Upper Beehive Basin! This breathtaking 5,300 sq. ft. Durfeld Log Custom Estate offers three levels of luxury and comfort. The expansive great room, with its soaring cathedral ceiling and inviting Tulikivi fireplace, sets the perfect stage for family gatherings. Open gourmet kitchen is a chef’s dream, while the private ground floor, complete with its own kitchen and cozy living quarters, offers the ideal retreat for extended family. Make memories in this exceptional mountain escape!
Relax on the wrap-around deck in your own private hot tub with mountain views in all directions. Once you are out of the hot tub, you can retire the evening around the unique cast iron fire pit. While the kids hang out in the ground level game room that features a pool table, enjoy a drink at the wet bar. Also, your own private sledding hill is just steps from the deck and hot tub.
In the summer, hop out your back door to jump on the world-renowned Beehive Basin trail. The expansive deck provides seating, a gas grill, copper cowboy cauldron, and a private hot tub. Everyone in your family will be able to enjoy the breathtaking views of the Spanish Peaks and Lone Peak. The property borders the Gallatin National Forest and is just a 45-minute drive to Yellowstone National Park.
In the winter, enjoy privacy as well as a prime location as you are only a (10) minute drive from Big Sky Resort and America's Biggest Skiing! If you enjoy backcountry skiing, this is also the home for you with some of the best the lower 48 has to offer. During the winter months, a 4-wheel drive is required, and snow tires are recommended to navigate the narrow, winding mountain road - ensuring a safe and enjoyable journey to your remote retreat.
**Please Note: The section of the deck in between the covered area and the hot tub area will be CLOSED due to the periodic slides from the roof. This is for the safety of our guests. Please see photos for specific area.**

Additional Notes:
We require a 4 wheel drive vehicle in the winter months (Oct-May). We don't believe it's a necessity for the summer months but do find it a good idea! Lucky for you, we offer all guests that book with us discounts for rentals in Bozeman!
This home is at a higher elevation of approx. 8500 ft.
Events of any size are not allowed when staying at this property in accordance with the neighborhood/HOA rules.
The home is equipped with heat for the cooler months, ensuring a cozy stay year-round.
This home does not have air conditioning.
Most homes in Big Sky don't, thanks to our typically mild summer temperatures. For a true Montana experience, we recommend our classic "Montana A/C": open the windows at night to let in the cool mountain air, then close them and draw the blinds first thing in the morning to keep the cool air inside throughout the remainder of the day.
We are a local property management company. So if there is anything you need before, during, or after your trip, please let us know!
