Clean room. No trouble checking in or parking. Only problem was the a/c didn’t work but the staff repaired it in a timely manner. No continental breakfast was disappointing.
I would like to recognize the front desk person Marcus. He really made us feel welcome & comfortable. It's employees like him who makes us want to come back again & again to Holiday Inn!
Upon entering Hotel Room 212 noticed inferior smell which caused breathing problems. Immediately contacted hotel staff and requested another room. Hotel staff indicated that there were renovations completed and the tub had been refinished causing an epoxy type odor such as some form of chemical agent. Moved to Room 219 and again noted same type of smell. At this point, felt there was no one to assist and due to travelling to this area for an Softball World Series my granddaughter was to participate in, we stayed. The next morning, Saturday, November 2, 2024, stressed how bad the room situation was and expected someone to resolve this issue. We left to attend the tournament. Arrived back at the hotel in the evening and no one provided any resolution to this matter. Due to hotels completely booked in the area, we had no choice but to stay as the trip home was over 4 hours. Definitely would not recommend this hotel to anyone and firmly believe a reimbursement should be provided.
