We were on the main road side so was a bit noisy however it was not particularly a problem for us. The position of the hotel is good for attendance at the civic hall.

It does what it says on the tin.
Basic hotel and room, however the room and bathroom was clean. Excellent location at a reasonable price.
The rooms were old and dated. There were stains and burns in the carpet, and the mattresses were absolutely filthy with satins. We were shown two rooms.....we did not stay.
Very clean xstaff very helpful xx bar prices reasonable x safe in hotel x didnt feel save walking round the area xx

Broken bed no signal on tv in room channels wouldn't work complained and got moved to another room girl on the desk was very helpful tbf but the next room was the same with a tv half the size of the room i moved from that also dident really work n the bed felt like u was lying down vertical i actually left after about five hours n checked into another hotel cos all u want to do is relax watch tv be comfortable i was non of them things defo wasent worthy of the 73 pound it cost
The duvets were extremely thin I have never seen a thinner duvet to say it was December. The reception and catering staff were lovely nothing was too much trouble.
The head housekeeper though who all I can say she was a female with blonde hair as she refused to give me her name was extremely rude and unprofessional. She banged on our door at 10am to say we should have checked out already as checkout time was 10am when I explained we had spoken to reception and told them we needed a few more minutes they were fine with us.She exploded in anger and belittled the reception staff and said it wasn't their call it was hers as she was rte head housekeeper!! Apart from the altercation with her and the inadequate duvets we had a lovely time but she spoilt it completely and left us feeling far from refreshed .
Room was on lower ground , absolutely stank of damp ,
Shower drain blocked , no extraction fan .
Breakfast ridiculous, they ran out of food

Cheap - clean- no frills
For an overnighter when visiting the University Halls, it's perfect.
Reception staff were helpful and efficient. Room is very basic, and tired, but clean. For the price, it was a good choice for somewhere to sleep after a gig and several beers
Cheap, unspectacular, very near the town centre. Parking is a lottery - if there a space you can park there for £5 per night otherwise you'll have to find yourself an alternative.
The good stuff. Cheap room rate. Comfy bed. Good location. Staff very pleasant.
The bad stuff. Old and stained carpet everywhere I looked. Tired rooms. Rusty metal in showroom. Door security in public areas not working. It’s an ex Travelodge and not a penny seems to haves been spent on it since they sold it. But at this room rate there will not be funds for a refurb.
