We stayed here for 2 nights in September, primarily for a gig at the Winter Gardens. I did a lot of research and this hotel was more than half the price of most others.
I wasn't expecting much as it was so cheap, but the staff are some of the nicest I've ever met. They offered us parking and to help with our luggage. They showed us to our room and asked if we'd like anything else. They told us how to get to Winter Gardens.
The hotel is ideally located right in the centre of Blackpool - not even 5 mins walk from the Winter Gardens (which are right in the centre!). We didn't use the car or public transport at all, because we didn't need to.
The rooms are small, yes, but they couldn't be any cleaner. The room was quite modern, although the bathroom was outdated.
We were provided with towels, toiletries, a kettle and teabags/coffee. I wasn't expecting any of this so it was a nice surprise. Our room was cleaned each day.
We also weren't expecting parking - but, as mentioned above, the lady offered us a space. There are a couple of spaces at the back of the hotel and it's free to park there. However, there are car parks close by anyway.
We didn't have breakfast at the hotel and I'm not sure they offered it, but there are lots of places doing food on the hotel's doorstep.
Overall, this makes an ideal base for a few days away. The staff are great and the location is ideal.
