Quaint hotel somewhat off the main path of towns in Iceland. Good stopping point on the western section of the ring road. Interesting restaurant menu. Good quality rooms - nice that they did not have TV. Breakfast service was a bit overwhelmed as most guest seemed to come towards the end of service period.

Perhaps the most comfortable bed of our trip, nice room with view of the sea. Good breakfast lovely staff. We didn't eat in for supper so can’t comment. Clearly recently refurbished it was an ideal stop on our way back south

Charming, little, hotel, right by the sea. The exterior is a bit unassuming, maybe even a bit uninviting but the interior renovations have lots of personality. Room was comfortable and well appointed for its size, and the restaurant churned out tasty food. I would critique the pricing a bit, based on the location (Blonduos isn’t exactly a bustling tourist hub) and that while tasty, the food pricing was in-line with 4-star hotels in Myvatn and Vik, and the elevated presentation didn’t fit the hotel's atmosphere and came off feeling fussy. Overall, a great little hotel to spend the night while circling the ring road.

The hotel has a comfortable, “local” feel. Staff are friendly and very attentive. The dinner service was great. The menu was one where they have a small number of choices but everything is fresh and beautifully cooked. Breakfast options were varied and delicious and healthy.

Wonderful stay in historic hotel with great views, small but very comfortable rooms, excellent staff and good food. Wished we could have stayed longer, although there wasn't much to do in the small town on a rainy day. Natalia and Mila were 2 of the outstanding staff members who offered top notch, friendly service.

The staff is wonderful, very helpful and professional. The room was very small and so was the shower. We had a view of the ocean but there is construction going on as well. The breakfast was fresh & good, the dinner we had here last night was truly amazing! Blonduos is a very small place therefore this is probably the best hotel.

Based on the previous reviews which I think were fabricated my husband and I were very excited to try this restaurant. What a disappointment. The waitress/bartender was new and had to get the manager to make a drink. I asked for a vodka cranberry-they had no cranberry. So l asked for a vodka soda w lime. They had no lime but gave me a lemon instead. We order the cod for dinner and chicken avocado salad w mango but asked for it without mango. The salad came with mango. And the rolls were hard as a rock and overcooked. The cod was delicious but the mashed potatoes were cold. The server was very kind but there is no way the previous reviews were real. I would definitely pass.
